I have never breathed without knowing that poetry is something more.
She seems to want to be free,
free from those white pages
but she is hidden from sight.
So to speak of her is all
we can do to
save her.
We set her free,
when her voice is heard
coming from our lips.
Poetry wants to leave her legacy,
among the readers that memorize
every line,
every syllable,
every beautifully written word.
Every poem is a glass jar
full of dreams,
tainted memories,
sorrowful hopes,
and
heart breaks.
When opened,
it reveals a
treasury of masterful
words
that bring the reader
back to reality
Poetry is a greeting to mysteries and dream filled miracles,
poetry is more than just some lines of words.
We need to find the
well sought out deeper meanings,
open up our hearts to
differences and feelings
What happened to this
beautiful world?
How did it become so
cold hearted?
Poetry is the cure to
the poison we all have
ingested;
to a sickness full of
hate, vice, and death.
It combats for what we
have truly lost
and brings the patient
reading it and
understanding it back
to life.
Cherishing poetry
is beaten down in
Society
because of difference,
but poetry is our lifeline

truly opened
