To Dust We Shall Go

Olden jars of golden times
Doubt filled hearts and worn-out minds
Long forgotten tunes twinkle in the air
Catching our tired ears in a snare

Days have passed
The first like the last
Milky moonlight shimmers in
Yang to the night darkness of Yin

Chaos rages around our world
Humanity slowly becomes unfurled
Animalistic, pessimistic
Everything is fatalistic

Bloody and brutal
Resist is futile
We all will succumb
Morality in our souls become numb

Lightbulbs flicker and lose their lives
We sit in the black and attempt to survive
Dirt fills our weakened lungs
To dust we shall go, from dust we have come
