Words,
such beautiful,
yet destructive things,
have the power to
tear something apart and
break it's wings;
to crush the heart
and to take away
the wonderful ability
to sing.
A danger to society,
these lexemes bring.
A terror is reaped upon
the unfortunate soul that is
battered and bruised
by hateful others.
Love can be forgotten
in the time that a few
words are spoken.
The bond is ripped in two.
Poison seeps into the soul.
Cuts are made to the heart that
will never fully heal
and old scars will open anew.
Words can be so deadly.
So you must choose what to do
with the words in
your life
that are so few.
