The reactions Ayumi got when she came into the rink were just as she expected.

Viktor, Yuuri and Mila were waving at her excitedly from the sidelines. By the looks of it, they were holding copies of Asian magazines. She grimaced—she has yet to get used to her face being on the covers. Yakov was as grumpy as usual, yet he treated her with the same almost-parental indifference.

However, the reaction she spent months longing for was her boyfriend's.

Yuri stepped off the ice and walked towards her in disbelief. She told him she was not arriving for another week, but she decided to push through to Saint Petersburg immediately after the forum in the States. She'll just have Kamoshita send the rest of her things.

"Ayu..." he mumbled, standing in front of her.

"Hi Yura."

He flicked her forehead. "Oi. Are you making fun of me? I thought you wouldn't be here until—"

"Well, plans change. Ouch..." she said, rubbing her temple. "Why? Don't you want to see me?"

He shook his head violently and pulled her in for a hug. "Are you serious?! Do you have any idea how much I missed you, you idiot?!"

Ayumi smiled as she buried her face on his shoulder. "I missed you too. A lot."

They stayed in each other's arms until Yakov decided he has had enough of the PDA. "Yuri! Stop clinging to Ayumi and get back to practice!"

Yuri's arm tightened around her as he growled. "That old geezer..."

"You heard him though Yura," she urged him, slowly pulling away.

"No! What about you?"

"Oh. I wasn't able to book my usual practice time today, so I'm sitting this one out. I'll start tomorrow. Now hurry before Coach Yakov gets even more upset."

He nuzzled her face. "Nyet."

Ayumi pushed him closer to the ice, chucking at his antics. She leaned closer to his ears and teased, "Go ahead and practice, love. I'll be at the benches working if you need me."

She gave him an affectionate kiss on the cheek before heading to the sidelines. Yuri's face was beet red (probably because she just called him "love") as he re-entered the rink and went back to a fuming Yakov.

The rest of the day was spent catching up with Mila, Viktor and Yuuri, who she gladly welcomed to the Saint Petersburg skating family. While they talked about how the past few months have been, Ayumi's gaze never wavered from her laptop. If there was one thing she proudly mastered over the years, it was the art of multitasking.

She only realized practice was over when she felt an arm around her waist.

"See?" Viktor chided. "All Yurio needed was his dose of Yumi to be happy... or at least a lot less angry."

Mila and Yuuri laughed at this. Yuri narrowed his eyes at the grey-haired Russian, then turned to face her. "Let's go home, Ayu."

"Eh?" was all she could say before he pulled her out of the building. She struggled to put her laptop back in her bag while being hauled along the embankment leading to her apartment.

It started to rain by the time they made it to her suite. Yuri dropped his angry façade as soon as the door closed and hugged her desperately. "I missed you, Ayu. So damn much. It's been too long."

"I know," she answered. He pulled away slightly and stared at her. She couldn't help but stare at him, too. The last time they saw each other was when they visited his grandfather for his birthday. It has only been a few months since then, but she missed him a lot.

"Why the hell am I so in love with you..." he whispered, bringing her in for a kiss.

She instinctively brought her arms around his neck. His lips were just as soft as she remembered, and they molded so well with hers. He tilted his head and brought her body closer to his.

After half a year of dating, one of the things Ayumi discovered was that Yuri was an amazing kisser. The amount of love he puts into every kiss always makes her swoon. He used to be very timid about it, but he has been much more passionate lately, especially since their kiss in his bedroom at Moscow.

Yuri opened the bedroom door and walked until they reached the window, her body sandwiched between him and the glass. He stopped, looking at her with a deep blush set on his face. She was confused. He then stuttered: "C-can I... t-try s-something?"

"Huh? What do you—"

He leaned forward and slowly licked her lips. Yuri has never done anything like that before. She did not know what to do, but she found herself opening her mouth when he pushed in.

Ayumi felt a rush of new emotions flow through her as their tongues touched for the first time. She was so nervous, her inexperience eating away at her willpower to keep herself steady. Despite this, she felt completely secure. He was so gentle and loving, taking the time to guide her through the heated kiss.

Yuri was the only person who could make her feel like she was floating on air.

He took her hands and brought them to the hem of his shirt. She could feel the warmth from a small portion of his skin peeking underneath her touch, and her mind went blank. She did not move. Yuri noticed this. Instead, his hips pressed closer to hers and his hands cradled her body. She felt butterflies in her stomach, and all she could see, feel, hear and taste was him.

Then logic came crashing down on her like a ton of bricks. She pulled away, breathless, and gave him a small smile signaling him to stop.

"Sorry. I got carried away," he said guiltily, letting go before his body did anything else. "It's okay," she mouthed, and they kissed each other once more.

They went back to the living room after that. In all the excitement, she almost forgot she had an essay to revise. She got her laptop from her bag and sat on the couch. Yuri followed suit.

"Busy again?" he asked, face scrunching at the screen.

Ayumi shrugged. "Yeah. Remember when I told you about the high-school academic program at Columbia University next semester? The deadline for the applications is in two days, and I still haven't finished my essay."

He nodded, fiddling with his phone while she typed. She couldn't stand the silence that followed. She quickly pulled out her earphones and gave one to him, and they fell back to their usual routine:

There's no need to slow down, ain't no need to rush
(You're the only one, don't need to rush)
Girl all I need is you, you, you

Okay, I think I've had enough of that. She took the earbud out when All I See is You by Meaku made her feel a bit stuffy.

Ayumi could feel Yuri's stare as she edited her rough draft. Thinking that he was starting to lose his mind, she turned to face him. She was met by a lingering peck and a shy voice:

"H-happy six m-months... l-love."

Before she could come up with something to say, someone knocked on the door. Yuri immediately ran off to get their food delivery, all while trying to hide the blush on his cheeks. Her boyfriend probably thought that dinner was the perfect way to avoid the awkwardness he just caused.

She laughed as he delved into the bag of food like the Russian Punk he was.
