Trey's fingers ran in a smooth line over Demi's back, caressing her side where her dreamcatcher tattoo was and smiling when his finger ran over her "now I'm a warrior" tattoo. He had been sitting right next to her while she had gotten most of them, hopped up on weed or alcohol even though she constantly claimed that the pain didn't bother her. That's what she was. His little warrior. His feisty, take bullshit from no one girlfriend who he wouldn't trade in for the entire world.

Trey knew that a lot of people around them – mainly Demi's people – doubted his feelings for her but they had been together for five long years. If he wasn't in love with her, on the brink of being obsessed with her, he would've left three years ago when she keyed his car, trashed his living room, and set his clothes on fire when she thought he was cheating on her (he was but he had been a pretty good liar back then). Of course, she replaced all of that stuff after coming back to his house and crying because she felt so bad about her overreaction to stupid rumors. That's when he admitted that he cheated on her, which resulted in her pushing him into the deep end of his pool and walking away knowing that he wasn't the best swimmer in the world. After that, they sat down and had a heart-to-heart. She screamed, cried, and hit him too many times to count but he took it all. Anyone with sense would've left the relationship alone after that but Trey couldn't let Demi go, and Demi was the same way. Through cocaine and side chicks they were still together. As far as Trey was concerned, unless one of them died, God was continuing to let their relationship prosper despite all of the shit that had gone down between them.

But it was all in the past now. They both made mistakes but they had both moved on. Trey couldn't say that he was ready to put a shiny ring on her finger that resembled the ones she had pointed out to him while they were shopping together, but he wasn't ready to let her go anytime soon. Crazy or not, high or sober, he was completely in love with Demi. As his friends often teased him, he was whipped, and he was proud of it.

He was so whipped that he was going on vacation with people that he could hardly stand, simply because he knew that if he didn't go, she wasn't going to go. And he wasn't making assumptions either. Last night, Demi had made it blatantly clear to the Kardashian clan that it was both of them or neither of them, so that was why they were all resting in the caramel colored seats of a private jet on their way to Greece. Demi had been knocked out for at least half of the flight – because Kris thought that leaving at three in the morning was a good idea – and Trey honestly didn't mind. He had been dozing off while doing some reading and happily minding his own business.

Demi's Beats had slipped halfway off of her ears, so Trey could hear the sound of Nina Simone's soulful voice as she sang Wild is the Wind, which was one of Demi's favorite songs in the entire world. He didn't know how she went to sleep with music playing, but it had been proven that Demi could sleep through anything, so he continued to rub her back with one hand while he held his book with the other.
