Okay i did the ending of this, like where the setting is at Kris's house a little different. On KUWTK they have confessionals so the italics are what the girls would say in the confessionals bc i had writer's block and that was the only way i could think to write it okay bye

The simple white dress box with gold trim had been sitting on her bed since it had been delivered to her doorstep this morning. It was now nearing three in the afternoon and Demi still couldn't build up the courage to put it on, and the event started at six. Her hair and makeup team would be over at four. She still had to eat. But even with all of that going on all she could do was sit on the chaise that rested at the foot of her bed and watch CNN. There was clearly a lot going on in the world but Demi kept seeing the same banner about the humanitarian crisis in Yemen flash across the screen and it made her feel sick to her stomach. Somehow it reminded her of what she had experienced in Kurdistan, and that made her remember how she asked one of the little girls there in the refugee camp what they wanted if they could have anything in the entire world, and how she had said that she just wanted to be happy. That's all Demi wanted as well, but she couldn't get out of this little uncomfortable rut that she was in. Her therapist had told that readjusting after treatment would be the hardest thing but Demi didn't think it would be this hard.

The doorbell rang downstairs and Demi silently prayed that it was someone that she actually wanted to see. Trey's visit had been more than a surprise – it had been an unwelcome surprise. There was just a lot that she had dealt with in treatment when it came to their relationship so she wasn't exactly thrilled to see him last night but at the same time, she couldn't send him home either. Last night was slightly awkward but he did a good job of keeping her mind off of the food that she was eating and off of the fact that she was trying to figure out how to live her life after leaving treatment. She just didn't want to see him again anytime soon.

Demi pulled the heavy white oak door open and smiled as she saw Kris standing on the other side with a pair of black heels dangling from her fingers.

"I realized that I didn't send your shoes so I decided I would just stay over here while you get ready and then we can just leave together," Kris suggested as Demi eagerly nodded and pulled the door open some more so that Kris could actually come in.

"That sounds great. I'm just going to eat really quick before my team gets here. Do you want anything?" Demi asked as they entered the kitchen and Kris sat at the counter while Demi grabbed the salad and smoothie that she had ordered earlier from Health Nut out of her refrigerator.

"No, sweetie, I'm all good. How are you? How was your night?" Kris questioned as Demi sat at the counter next to her.

"It was fine. Uneventful. I absolutely love my bath tub though. I just cooked and stuff and Trey ended up coming over and bringing me my dogs so..." Demi trailed off as she noticed the surprised look on Kris's face.
