Demi's Louboutin covered foot knocked against the white couch in the lobby of her lawyer's building where she was sitting and waiting to be called back for her appointment. Laura had called and said that they got the papers back from the judge so she had to sign more papers then the divorce would be finalized by the end of the month. Since the divorce was uncontested by Trey, they didn't have to go in front of a judge, and Demi wanted to thank him for making this process so easy considering how he felt about her, but he still wasn't talking to her. She hadn't heard anything from him or about him since he had been in the hospital, and she really did want to check on him and make sure that he was okay, but he didn't want her in his life. Once she signed these papers, she was free to start her new life with Cristo...without Trey in it.

"Demi, Laura is ready for you," the male receptionist said, gesturing towards the hall that led to Laura's office. Demi grabbed the pink Chanel crossbody that Cristo had gotten for her in Paris as a birthday present before walking to Laura's office. Once she walked inside, she was surprised to see Trey sitting in there with his lawyer.

"Hi Demi. I figured it'd be easier if you signed the papers together so that we could make sure everyone is satisfied," Laura said as Demi nodded in understanding while taking her seat.

"Okay, these are the papers that you have to sign. Once the judge approves this, the divorce should be finalized. I personally know the judge and she has no interest in making you guys come to court. So, once you get the call from me, you should get a notice in the mail about the divorce being finalized," Laura said, pushing a small stack of papers in front of Demi and Trey before handing them pens. They went through the stack fairly quickly and then slid them back to Laura.

"I will file these right away. You two have to be the easiest divorced couple that I have ever worked with," Laura joked, putting the papers into a single manila envelope as Demi shrugged then looked over at Trey, but he was talking to his lawyer.

"If that's it, I guess I'll be on my way," Demi said, standing up and shaking Laura's hand, thanking her for everything before she left the office. Just as she was about to get into her car, Trey stopped her.

"What's up?"

"I just wanted to apologize for the way I acted towards you in the hospital when you were just trying to make sure that I was okay," Trey apologized as Demi shrugged.

"It was no big deal. After everything we've been through I would hope you'd do the same for me," Demi responded, folding her arms over her chest as she looked at the ground.

"Well, I hope you have a good wedding and everything," Trey said as Demi slowly nodded.

"Thanks. I guess I'll just see you...whenever," Demi said as Trey nodded as well.
