At Kris's request, Demi had stayed out of the tabloids for a week while waiting for things to die down. Thanks to the magic of Robert Shapiro and a couple thousand dollars, Elysandra had decided not to press charges against her, but she did get a restraining order, which threw the press into a frenzy. Demi wasn't going to let it bother her anyway. She didn't have any want to be around that liar anyway.

Since her week of staying out of trouble was up, Demi had decided to invite Kris out for an early dinner at one of her favorite restaurants in Calabasas called Villa. It was one of Kendall's favorites as well and Demi would've invited the entire family but after their last talk, she really just wanted to be with Kris. Sometimes, Demi just didn't think that she expressed to Kris enough about how grateful she was for everything that she did for her, everything that her mother would never do for her, which was why she decided to invite her out for dinner even if she was a little afraid of what her reaction would be considering the circumstances surrounding their last conversation.

"Oh my god, are you wearing the outfit I gave you?" Demi asked as Kris approached the table in the matching black Fabletics outfit that Demi had given to her once her new line launched.

"Yeah, and you know these leggings are actually super comfortable," Kris said as she took her sunglasses off and sat down.

"They look good on you. Work it mama," Demi giggled as Kris playfully shooed her off and looked at the menu, even though they ordered the same thing every single time they come here.

"So, I think we have some things to discuss," Kris said after a waiter had come by and poured them two glasses of water with mint and lemon. Demi took a few sips of her drink as she sat up a little bit and looked at Kris.

"I hope last time we talked I didn't overstep my boundaries or come off as too harsh," Kris started off, but Demi immediately shook her head.

"You didn't...it was exactly what I needed to hear...which is why I want to talk to you about something." Demi set her glass down and fiddled with the ends of her hair, taking in their gorgeous surroundings as she prepared herself to bring up something that she didn't ever think she would have to.

"What's up?"

"I think that I need to just spend a few weeks away. Mike Bayer owns this treatment center called Cast and I recently contacted him and he said that he has this program where I can come and stay with him and just detox for a few weeks," Demi slowly explained as Kris furrowed her eyebrows.

"Where is this coming from?"

"I was prescribed Xanax because of the PTSD and they gave me sixty pills to take once a day...and they're all gone."
