Chapter 22 - Hand in Hand

I laughed out loud for smudging my ice cream to Axel's face. I laughed so hard until my stomach hurted so bad. He caught me and smudged back my ice cream to my face. We both laughed out loud.

"Gosh.. I hate this smell" He hissed

"Come here" I cupped his face and licked the ice cream from his face

"Gosh.. gross" He protested and I laughed

"I love this flavour starting from today" I said

"It's disgusting!" He protested again. Axel took me to a food festival. There's a tons of foods here. We ate nachos earlier and I wanted to try this new bubblegum flavoured ice cream. I bought the cone one and asked Axel to try first earlier.

"Because of you my make up smudged all over my face" I glared

"You're the one who smudged the ice cream first, blame yourself babe!" He sticked his tongue out and I chuckled

"I'm sticky!"

"Me too.. let's go there to wash up" He pulled me to a sink. He helped me to wash my fash so it won't be sticky again. I helped him to wash up his face.

"So what do you want to try next?" He asked

"How about you?"

"I'm eyeing that cheese fries.." He pointed

"Let's go get that" I said and he held my hand. I can't help but felt weird to see Axel changed. He never talk to me in a cold tone again. He never glared at me again. It was liked that he's back. This is the real him.

"Do you want the curly one or the original one?" He asked as he looked at the menu

"Original one will be bomb" I said and he nodded. He ordered one and then he looked at me

"You still got this.." He chuckled and wiped something from my cheek

"Sprinkles.." He said and I smacked him

"You purposely put it there right?" I asked and glared at him. He chuckled and ate it.

"As much as I love seeing your hair down, I think you should pull your hair into a pony tail. It's windy and your hair will eat your food too later on" He said and I nodded. I took out my hairband and pulled my hair up.

"Better?" I asked

"You look cute" He smiled and suddenly they called our number. Axel walked away and took the fries. He blew it up because it's so hot.

"You excited to try?" He asked and I nodded excited. He gave one to me and my eyes widen.

"It's good!"

"Really?" He asked and then he put one to his mouth

"It's good" He said and I smiled

"Let's eat there, there's so much people here" He took my hand and pulled me away from the crowd. He kept feeding me.

"Axel.." I called and he looked at me raising his eyebrows

"Hmm?"

"I like this side of you" I said and he looked at me blankly. He nodded and we sat down on the bench.

"I changed a lot since I broke up with Trissa. I was madly in love with her. We were both so in love at that time. I was crazy in love. I can't stop smiling and just.. so happy" He started to open up

"We were madly in love and everything was perfect for 1,5 years. One day, Aiden came to me that he saw Trissa with another guy. Of course, I became jealous and confronted her. She told me that he's only a friend and blabla. I trusted her.. so much. Until one day, I saw her cheating with my own eyes. Not once or twice.. but around 8 times and more."

"In the 7 Gold Lifes Kids, I'm one of the nicest and the kindest. Not wanting to brag but I'm one of those guys. I was too kind to her, I was too crazy in love until I was blinded by love itself. I literally can give her the moon if she ask for it.. that's how crazy I am for her" I'm jealous.. how can Trissa get so lucky?

"She used me again and again until I was mad. I dumped her and turned cold. I tried to make a barrier for people so they can't hurt me easily. I was too kind so I was hurted a lot of times" Same goes as me.. I was like that too

"I turned cold so I can see who really cares or who really doesn't. People easily back out when they know you're a cold person. I never break the ice inside of me before.. no one ever succeed." He said and I nodded

"I like this side of you, the warm and the fun you. The real you. I love it" I smiled and he nodded smiling

"Cut the crap.. here" He shoved me a french fries again

I can't help but felt so happy because he opened up to me. Now, I know why they broke up and why he turned this cold. I'm so glad that he explained it to me.

Seeing the real Axel made like him more. He's warm, fun and just easy going. He's so sweet too. He really show his care for others. I love this side of him so so much. Seeing this side of him will make it so difficult to let him go.

"Thankyou for today" I kissed his cheek and he smiled

"So what do you want to try next?"

"How about that chicken waffle?" I asked as I pointed at the small counter

"That's so great, do you want to try that too?" Axel pointed at taco stall

"Let's try that too!" I said and he smiled. He held my hand and we got up from the bench. We walked there hand in hand.
