Operation sixth sense

"Alright Cecil, what is Carlos like?" Bill asked

"Well... he's really into science. He reads a lot, he has glasses, brown hair, and he's very outgoing, and he has a lot of money."

"Sounds like someone i know, well except the rich part." Bill said smirking and looking at me

"Do you know where Carlos is?" I asked rolling my eyes at Bill

"Um... yeah. I think he lives with his mom... Or maybe it was his dad? I'm not sure, all i know is he lives near the waterfall." 

"And you know this... how?" Bill asked looking at his nails

Cecil blushed, "I followed him home once... I thought he kinda looked like you dad so i thought that maybe he was your son too. But he wasn't."

"Yeah no, i only have one son, and that's you. So! It's the weekend, lets go find this kid. Near the waterfall you said?"

"Yeah."

"Lets go." Bill said grabbing both mine and Cecil's hand and dragging us out of the house and into the woods.

"Hey dad?"

"Yeah Cecil?"

"How'd you and your partner meet?"

"Oh Bill? Well we-"

"We met at an airport, you probably don't know what that is. But I saw him and i remembered him from when we were younger. Still thought he was as cute as ever, and the rest is history." Bill explained interrupting me

"Yeah pretty much." I shrugged 

Cecil stopped walking and turned around.

"Cecil?"

"I can't, i can't do it. He'll think i'm weird, and he'll want to stop hanging out with me, and i won't have a friend as school anymore and-"

"You worry too much kid." Bill said picking him up and putting him down in front of Carlos' house.

"Put me down!" he screamed "I can't do it! I told you! Mom lets me quit when i want to!"

"If you could quit at anytime, why didn't you quit looking for me?" I asked him

"Because i knew the only thing that could go wrong was you sending me back to mom."

"And what's so different about this?"

"If he doesn't like me, or thinks I'm weird, and doesn't want to be my friend. Then I have nothing there..."

"So you will only do something, if you get something out of it?"

"Well no it's just that I don't.. I'm scared of being alone."

"Kid i can guarantee you will never be alone. Now please just ring the doorbell." Bill said patting his back

He rang the doorbell and a quiet tune played throughout the house. 

"No one's home..." he said looking down at the floor

"Oh no they are." Bill said smiling

The house was huge, I don't blame them, it has to take them quite a while to get to the door. The footsteps got louder as someone approached the door. We heard one lock click, then a second, then a third, and finally, the door knob turning. 

"Hell- oh my. Dipper pines."

"Hello Gideon, I'm just here to see Carlos."

"I see you're still parading around with that thing."

"Hi!" Bill said waving

"And i see you finally stopped shopping in the little dolls section." 

"Why do you want to see Carlos?"

"I don't, my son does." i said pointing to Cecil

"Oh! Hello again Cecil!" He said smiling

"Again?" I asked

"I've come over before..."

"Alright, disregarding that fact. Can we come in?"

"Fine." he said opening the door

"Dad who is that?" asked a little boy coming down the stairs

"Carlos your little friend is here."

"Cecil?"

"Hi Carlos." he said looking down

Carlos ran over and hugged Cecil. Carlos was clearly taller than him. A lot taller, Gideon got a lot taller too. 

"Let's go upstairs, I want to show you this science kit i got!"

Once they were gone, things got super awkward.

"I think we're gonna go." i said grabbing Bill's arm

"That's a good idea. I'll call you when Cecil wants to go home."

"Thanks."

"I still fucking hate that kid" Bill said once we were out of the house

"Me too..."
