We rushed out of the house and into his car. We sat at the table and Amelia (his sister) still wasn't here.

"Oh shit, I got a text." He pulled out his phone. "Amelia is here." His sister walked in and we waved at her. She had darker blonde hair than him and the same blue eyes. She was really pretty.

"Hey, Amelia. Please sit." Nick said.

He called the waiter. "Can we get a glass here too?"

"Of course."

A man came over and he took out his notepad.

"Bonjour mon nom est Boyce. Je suis votre serveur. Que désirez-vous?" He smiled. I didn't understand a word of what he said but Nick did.

(Translation: Hello my name is Boyce. I am your server. What would you like?)

"Je vous remercie. Un moment."

(Translation: Thank you. One moment.)

"Bien sûr." Boyce had left and Nick looked at my face which was an awe.

(Translation: Of course.)

"I took French Course when I lived in Canada."

"You lived in Canada?"

"Of course."

"But I thought they taught Canadian French."

"I went to a mentor from France, it was a lot of money but very good lessons." His mother smiled.

"I knew he would shine with fortune the moment he came out of me."

"Mom, thats a little vulgar." Amelia said without raising her eyes from the menu.

"I'm just saying your brother was always one with fortunes in his future." Amelia rolled her eyes. I took a sip of my wine knowing that the room was heating up. I glanced at Nick. He smiled as if everything was okay.

"Mother, Amy is right. Its a disturbing image and thought."

Everyone started laughing. Her mother smiled and said "would you excuse me I have to powder my nose."

Amy whispered under her breath "no one does that anymore." His father got up and followed his wife. "My moms skeptical of you because your pretty and dating my brother. She thinks every girlfriend that Nicholas has had are gold-diggers."

"She's not a gold-digger." He smiled up at me. I smiled back.

"I know, she's your in home assistant." We both shot our heads up.

"I mean it's obvious, you know little to nothing about him."

"Wha?"

"Oh come on, every real girlfriend that Nicky has, knows he gloats about his travels, money and lavish living."

"Oh really now." I said skeptical.

"Okay I do it sometimes, but if you have it flaunt it."

"Oh god he's Americanizing." We laughed.

His mother and father came back and our laughter faded.
