Chapter 15

Kayla's pov

the next few weeks went by like a blur. I was having a blast being the newest character. The episodes with me in them hadn't aired yet. They air starting of season 5. Norman and I are closer than ever. We go out a lot, but we aren't officially anything no matter how bad I wish we were. Playing the love interest of your favorite fictional character who just so happens to be played by your celebrity crush is amazing. Lauren was right when she said my life had completely changed. We finished another episode today And robert was passing out the script for the next one. It was actually for the mid season finale. When he gave me my script he had a smile on his face like he was up to no good. I looked to him confused and he whispered,

"you're welcome."

i was about to ask him for what but he walked away quickly. I starred after him in confusion until Lauren came up to me,

"hey wanna come over tonight and practice our lines?"

"Sure" I smiled.

later that night I wet over to Lauren's to read the script. I wanted to skip to the end to read the big finish, but Lauren made me start for the beginning. When our characters weren't In the scene, we read as the others. We were nearing the end of the episode and it was Lilly and Daryl's characters in a heated argument. Maggie was voicing daryl for me.

Lilly: leave me alone daryl!

Daryl: get yer ass back here lil before I make ya.

lilly:you wouldn't.

daryl: (smirks and throws Lilly over his shoulder. She fits to get away.)

lilly: no daryl i can't take it anymore! I can't be apart of a group.

daryl: (sets lilly down)why the hell not! They need ya! Carl, Maggie, Rick, the whole group!

lilly:what about you?

daryl: (silent at first) ya know what just go! See if I care!

lilly: fine I will! (Starts to turn away but is stopped by a hand grabbing hers) what the hell daryl!

daryl: don't.

lilly: why do you care! You just told me to leave!

daryl: Lilly dammit just don't!

lilly: why!

daryl: I can't do this ananymore

lilly:(looks at him confused as he walks up to her and kisses her passionately)

my heart stopped when I read that last line. I heard Lauren gasp and squeal excitedly. No way. No way I was going to get to kiss daryl dixon. No way I was going to get to kiss norman reedus. I about dropped my script when Lauren ran up and hugged me,

"everything you've dreamed is finally coming true"

i looked to her, tears threatening to spill. I had never been so happy, but nervous in my life. What if he doesn't feel the same way after we kiss? I mean I know it's our characters, but I know my feelings for norman are real. I loved that man. I wonder how he is going to react to reading the ending.

normans pov

I left set early tonight to get home and start reading the script for the mid season finale. Working with kayla was hell a lot of fun. I get butterflies every time I see that girl which makes my job even more fun. I've been hesitating though. I like her a lot but I'm really nervous to make her mine. Would she really want to date someone 25 years older than her? Would that make me some sort of pedophile? I quickly shook that out of my head. No she wouldn't think that. I had to ask her though. What's the worst she could say? No? I've been turned down before, but not by someone that I feel as much as I do for her. I had to know though and I had to know soon. I wonder if she talks about me? I grab my script off my counter and skim through it as I call Andrew up,

n:hey man

a:hey what's up

n:got a question for ya

a:shoot

n:alright how do you get a girl who is a great number of years younger than you to go steady with ya?

a:you talking about kayla?

n: how'd ya know?

a:you're one of my best friends. I can see e way you look at her norman. Everyone does.

n:shit is it that obvious?

a:even a blind man could see it

N: do you think she likes me back?

a: I know she does, norman she's loved you for years.

n: how you know that?

a:she told me. She talks about you all the time to Lauren.

N:alright well what should I do?

A:you read your script yet?

n:not yet

A:flip to the end I think you'll get an idea. But hey I gotta go! Good luck!

n: thanks see ya.

i hung up the phone and quickly skipped to the last page of my script and read it to myself. I stopped when I saw the directors note. I was going to get to kiss her! Finally! It may be for work, but I'm going to enjoy this and maybe I'll know for sure if its right. I seriously cannot wait till we film this episode.
