Miranda's pov

We pull up at an abandoned warehouse, his eyes are dark and I'm getting a weird vibe from him. Like when we first met. "Stay in the car til I come around." He whispers, looking around outside. I'm kinda scared. I think he can sense my fear. "I've got a confession to make." He says, loading a pistol. "W-What?" I gasp caught off guard. "I would've made ya come whether or not you agreed, I'm just lucky you wanted to come anyway." I freeze and finally look over at him. "WAIT! WHAT?!" He sighs. "Mir, let me explain." He says, putting a hand lightly on my shoulder. "You were already a target. And leaving you behind there would've been more dangerous then coming with since I wouldn't be there to protect you." "Why do they want to hurt me!? I didn't do anything!" "Because you mean something to me! You're important to me and these guys will do anything they can to destroy me... And.... Hurting... Hurting you will do that. You have to do exactly what I say. You promise?" I nod slowly. "Jason, I'm s-scared." We stare at each other for a few seconds before he pulls me into a soft stress relieving kiss. "Don't you worry, I'll die before I let anything happen to you." He squeezes my hand reassuringly. "Wait! What about my mom?!" I cry, panicked. "Don't worry, babe." He says with a soft smile. "I've got a few men guarding her. No one will get to her without my permission." That's definitely reassuring. He steps out, gun drawn and walks around to my side. I stay as close to him as possible. We get in the building. "Marcus, Tom, we've got trouble." He says as soon as the doors open. "Oh hey boss. What's up?" A guy in a swivel chair says, a computer in front of him. "They've tracked me to my house. I need full video survelliance over every inch of this building and the outer perimeter for give miles. I need all of you armed and ready. No one gets in this facility without my permission." "Aye." The boy says. He clicks a button on a Bluetooth in his ear. "Talk to me." He grabs my hand and we walk down a hallway as he has a conversation with someone over the Bluetooth. We go down a few flights of stairs. "You're gonna be on the offense team. Don't move til I give the order. Understand?" This is too weird. He points to a chair so I sit down as he continues to talk and do stuff. I can't believe he'd have forced me to come. Although it makes sense why. He just wants to protect me. He finally sets the Bluetooth down and sighs deeply. "I'm so sorry you were dragged into this. I never was supposed to get close to people for this exact reason." He waves his hands around the room and sits on the big mahogany desk in front of me. "It's okay, Jason, I'm not mad." He sighs and rakes a hand through his hair. "What's gonna happen now?" "You'll stay here, underground for the time being. I don't know how long. However long it takes to take out the threat." "What about school?" He shrugs. "I shouldn't have gone." He mumbles, biting his lip. He looks at me for the first time since we entered this room. "Come here." He whispers. I glance behind me, confused by the fact he's whispering. Seeing nothing, I walk over and he hugs me. Which totally caught me off guard. "I love you, Miranda." He whispers in my ear. "I love you too." I whisper, closing my eyes and smiling. No matter what the situation, I'm happiest with him. His hands were on my back and slowly eased up my shirt til I felt a light stick in my side. I freeze and stare at him confused. "W-What... Was...." He had a syringe in his hand. "Calm down." He says, grabbing my hand. "No! What'd you just inject me with!?" I cry, shocked. He doesn't reply and I feel dizzy. "It's for your safety." I pull my hand free. "Jason, what the hell did you just inject me with?!" My legs feel like jello. He sighs and I lose my footing unwillingly falling into his waiting arms. "Goodnight, my love." He whispers as my vision darkens and sleep takes over.
