Jason's pov

I angrily cock my gun and turn a corner, seeing two of the jerks who somehow got in. They were looking at a map of some kind and talking quietly. I grit my teeth in anger and pocket my gun. I walk over quietly but quickly and snap the first guy's neck. An army boot heads my way with a forceful kick to the ribs. I grab his leg, still in the air and twist it. He screams in pain and stumbles to the ground. I kick him in the back several times. "Who sent you, you shits?!" I yell enraged, gripping his hair and wrenching his head back, pulling out a knife and placing it against his exposed throat. He panics and tries to escape so I push it more forcefully and he freezes, fearfully. "WHO. SENT. YOU???!!!!!!" "Tom!" He shakily gasps. One of my rivals. One of my enemies. I hate him with a passion. He used to be a member of my gang until he double crossed me. Being lenient, I kicked him out instead of killing him. Obviously that was a mistake. He created his own gang. He's been coming after me, trying to bring me down ever since. But he's also an idiot. And as you can tell, has failed every time. "Well tell that dick if he wants me, come and get me." "He doesn't want you!" He says, confusing and worrying me. I flip him onto his back. "What do you mean?" "He wants the girl." He shakily says, blocking his face with his hands. What a pussy. "Why?" "He wants to bring you down and killing that girl will." "Tell your shitfaced two timin' leader, he'll never get her." I say, letting go of his hair. "I suggest you get out. I'm being nice right now, not putting a fucking bullet in your brain. Come back here again, I will pull the trigger." I growl. He gets to his feet. I shove him toward the door and walk down the hall, looking for any more maniacs.

Miranda's pov

I hid behind a desk and tried to control my breathing but I'm a little scared right now. I mean what do normal people do when they find out the boy they love is a vicious gang leader? I bite my lip thinking about it. He's probably killed people before. Hell he's probably killing people right now! And I thought the bad boy shtick was just a cover. He's truly a bad boy! I hear footsteps outside the door. I terrifiedly peek over the edge of the desk. The guy at the door tries to open it. "Locked." He mutters. "Bust it down." Someone else says. Fear fills me. I hear them kicking it. Then I hear a gunshot and the door swings open!

Jason's pov

Shit!!! Not on my watch! I pull out my pistol and barrel down the hallway. "Get away from there!" I shout pulling the trigger. The first guy hits the wall, the force of the gunshot knocking him back. Blood trickles down his forehead as he slumps to the ground and drops his crowbar. The other guy, I recognize him, goes pale and raises his weapon. He glances behind himself and runs inside slamming the door. I roll my eyes. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way, Joe." I say, cocking my pistol. "Open this damned door." "Fuck no!" He shouts, his voice shaking. God did Tom just hire a bunch of pussies. They're all fucking terrified. "If you open this door and swear to never come back here, I'll let you go." I say, trying to keep my voice level. "Bullshit!" "I let Tom live didn't I?" Silence on his end. The door opens slowly. He's maybe a year younger than me. I grab his shirt making him squeal in fear. "God did you fucking piss yourself?!" He doesn't respond. "You tell Tom he's dead if I see him!" I snap punching him in the stomach. I throw him out the door and down the hall. He scrambles to his feet and takes off running. I run in the room. "Miranda?!" I see her small hand shakily reach around the desk in the corner. "J-Jason?" I quickly run over to her. "You're okay." I say hugging her. "Are they gone?" I nod and help her stand up. "We're gonna be okay." "I still can't believe you're a gang leader. Hell you give a whole new meaning to badboy." I smile tiredly and hug her tight. "They'll never get you, baby girl. But tomorrow I'm gonna teach you how to shoot a gun. Just in case." She smiles and hugs me tight. We go to our room. "How many people have you killed?" She asks, standing shaken in the doorway as I take off my holster and set my gun on my dresser. "Contrary to what you might think, I am not a ruthless killing machine." I say sighing. "I'm more merciful than most gang leaders. Sadly that sometimes backfires on me." "Do you have a number?" I sigh. "12 people. I've killed 12 people." I say walking over. "You aren't afraid of me now are you?" She shakes her head. "Not you. The.. The others.... Th-The ones.... W-Wanting to hurt me." I hug her tight. "I won't let them baby. I promise." I say, kissing her head. "Do you trust me?" "I trust you." She whispers. I smile and kiss her softly on the lips "I love you." She whispers, laying her head in the crook of my neck. I look at myself in the mirror, regretting meeting her because of the danger but loving every second I'm with her. "I love you too." I shakily say. I vow to myself that I'll never let her get hurt. I'll never let anybody touch her. I'll personally kill them slowly and painfully. And that isn't a threat, it's a promise.
