I was feeling generous :)

Slamming my locker shut, I turned to look at Autumn, who was standing next to me with none other than Blake Hammond right beside her. Ever since we went hiking at the Pinnacles a few days ago, those two have been spending a lot of time together, surprisingly. I have a feeling something might be sparking between the two. Maybe a hidden romance, or at the least, a friendship, but knowing the two, I'd say it's a romance.

Aiden has been checking on me almost every day since what had happened with Evan. He's been so supportive through all of it, never once complaining about the ungodly amount of time he's been spending at my house. I try to make sure that most of the time we spend studying, but Aiden always finds a way to get us off track somehow. That's the thing about Aiden though, he never ceases to make me smile or laugh and that alone is what's been getting me through all this.

Aiden was.

"Will you stop following me around like a lost puppy?!" Autumn cried, looking at Blake.

He smirked. "Oh, come on, you love having me around so you can constantly roast me every hour of the day."

I saw the corners of her lips turn up in a small little grin, before turning and scowling at him. She obviously didn't want him to know that he knew her better than she though. I couldn't help but smile at those two. At least someone's love life was going great out of the two of us. With that thought, I couldn't help but feel an ache in my chest. I hadn't spoken to Evan in quite a few days and I had no intention of starting anytime soon, but still. My heart couldn't help but ache for him, no matter what he had said about me, and I think that was the most screwed up part about all of this. That somehow, my heart still managed to see all the good in him, instead of the bad. Somehow, a part of me still wanted him.

How pathetic could I get?

I sighed, before telling Autumn and Blake I'd see them at lunch and heading for AP Bio. When I got to the room, I was surprised to see that Aiden was there, rummaging around on Mrs. Earnshaw's desk. Why is he in here? I know for a fact that Aiden doesn't have biology until lunch and he certainly doesn't take AP. So, what in the world was he doing in here?

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Aiden? What are you—?!"

"Shhhhh!" he hushed me, as his head shot up to look at me, I could see the gears turning in his brain as he waved his hands around, placing his finger up to his lips to silence me. I didn't miss the slight upward tilt at the corner of his lips that only told me he was planning something mischievous. But then again, when was Aiden not planning something mischievous?

I stared at him incredulously as he frantically ran around Mrs. Earnshaw's desk with some sort of plastic tube in his hands, running it over various different objects and placing them back on her desk. My eyes strained to read the label on the tube he was waving around, but then realization dawned on me and I suddenly knew exactly what he was doing.

"Are you crazy?!" I hissed at him. "Aiden, you could—!"

But I was cut off by the sound of students coming into the room and Mrs. Earnshaw's distant voice in the hall, coming closer and closer. Aiden and I turned to look at each other, our eyes wide as saucers, before more students came in, looking at the both of us like we were idiots.

Carter walked in, Riley following close behind him. "Oh, hey dude—!"

"Shhhhh!" Aiden and I hissed at the same time, but meanwhile I was frantic, Aiden was quickly completing his task with nothing but a wide smirk on his face. I'm sure he wasn't thinking of what the consequnces of his actions might be, but I sure was.
