This might be a complete waste of time, but i decided to write another chapter.  so ya, (please!) tell me what you think!

***************************************************************************

I plop down on the grass panting. I try to pour the water from my water bottle into my mouth, but it ends up all over my face. Smooth. I grimace as water enters my eyes, but it refreshes me so i don't wipe it off. I open my eyes when i hear someone panting on the grass next to me. Jhonny has a bad habit of never bringing a water bottle and now he is laying next to me looking longingly at mine.

"That water sure looks good." he hints.

I pretend not to get his hint and say, "Oh ya! Its great! Nice, cool, refreshing, it almost dosn't bother me that we just ran five miles in 80 degree weather." I take a nice long drink. "Ahh, that hits the spot."

"Ah! your killing me here!" Jhonny plops on to his back and I laugh. I unscrew my lid and give him my bottle.

"Thanks Abigal." He says after pretty much finishing off my water. We just lay in siclence for a few moments before i know I have to say something. Cool, I tell myself, Keep cool and relaxed. I take take a deep breath and let it out.

"Oh my god, I hope it isn't this hot during Homecoming." Yes I did it! smoothly I directed the conversation towards homecoming!

"Well it better than down pouring like it usually does." He replies.

"So whats worse, burning in fucking Hell or freezing your damn ass off?"

"Well we are Minnesotans, so freezing our asses off is the natural approach."

"But still!" I protest laughing.

He starts laughing too, then says, "That's why I never go to those things."

Screwed. That's what I am. "Oh, I thought you liked football?"

"I do, just not the watching part."

"oh" Ya, that's all I can manage. That went perfect.

Before I can think of a way to convince him to go, we hear a horn honk. Jhonny jumps up. "Oh, that's my ride. Thanks again for the water Abigal, I was about to die!" He laughs as he walks away.

"See ya later!" I shout. I get his friendly smile and wave as a reply. As soon as his car pulls out of the lot I cover my hands with my face and sigh. Only two days till homecoming.
