"i can't believe you brought me to the carnival! how'd you know i wanted to go?!" i jumped out of the car in excitement, then i (carefully) shut the door.

"i thought it would appeal to you." he came to stand by my side as i gazed at the lights coming from the ferris wheel.

"anything for you darling. let's go inside now, hm?" justin said as he placed his hand on my lower back.

i nodded contently, my heart beating with excitement. i mean come on, it's the carnival. you can't not like it!

"hello, gentlemen. how may i help you today?" a woman said, with a slight southern accent in her voice. she was trying to sound enthusiastic, but you can tell from her voice that she was exhausted.

"what can i get that will allow us to not have to carry tickets around?" justin asked with a slight smile.

"well, you can get the wristband that will let you ride everything and anything. it's $20 per person. the games, however, are cash only."

"we'll take two of those please."

i go to take out my wallet from my back pocket, only to have a hand grab my wrist.

"don't even think about it, zayn. i asked you out, i'm paying."
