Murphy's POV

Monday. The dreaded day that begins another week of hell. I walk into school, pulling my leather jacket over my shoulders. I decided to go for a more badass look today. I meet Emori in the hall and we walk to our lockers.

"Looking badass today, Murph. So what did you do this weekend?" She asks, tugging on my jacket.

"Not much. Went to the park, played guitar, got beat by my psycho mom, saw Bellamy shirtless. You know, normal shit." I reply sarcastically. Emori shoved me to the side.

"You saw Bellamy shirtless! Did you get some?" She almost shouts, a stupid grin on her face. I roll my eyes at her comment.

"No, Emori. I was at the park playing my guitar and he was running past. He was just working out and he came to say hi to me." I respond, opening my locker and shoving my bag inside, taking out the books I needed for class. The warning bell rang, telling us that we better hurry up if we didn't want to be late. Emori scurried off.

"I expect great things from you, Murphy." She calls over her shoulder. I roll my eyes, smiling to myself. She may be a dork, but she's my best friend. I hurry to my first hour class, sitting down and pulling out my books. The day seems to go by without incident.

***

Last hour. P.E. My least favorite class. I sit on the bleacher, as close to the corner as I could get. I pull out my beloved notebook and begin to draw. Big surprise. I glance up, seeing Bellamy in his uniform, running around the gym with the rest of the class. I couldn't help but watch him. The way his muscles flexed, his tan skin rippling with every movement. I tear my eyes away, looking around to distract myself. I return my eyes to my paper, not wanting to be caught staring. I focus on my drawing, trying my very hardest to not stare at the glorious man who was Bellamy.

Final bell rings, sending everyone rushing to the doors. I pack up my stuff, heading for the door. Emori had to leave early today, so I begin my lonely walk home. After just a few minutes, I hear a shout behind me. I turn around and see Finn walking up behind me quickly. I turn back around and continue walking, even though I was terrified. Quick footsteps run up behind me and someone grabs my shoulders, shoving me into the fence just off the sidewalk.

"Don't ignore me when I talk to you, jackass." Finn spits, grabbing my jacket and holding me against the chain link fence. I try to keep my composure. Breaking down crying in black skinny jeans and a leather jacket would not look good on my record.

"Why don't you back off?" I hiss back, looking him in the eye. He lifts my off the fence, slamming me back into it.

"Are you disrespecting me? I think you're going to regret that." He taunts. He raises his fist and I struggle against him, forgetting about that badass image. His fist crashed into the side of my head, sending a shooting pain through my jaw. He holds me in place by the collar of my shirt, pummeling my chest and face. I try to block him, but I'm unsuccessful. I taste blood in my mouth and feel warm liquid running from my nose.

The pressure is lifted off my chest and I fall to the ground, coughing and wheezing.

"What the hell, Finn! How many times to I have to tell you to back off?" I hear a familiar voice shouting. I look over and see Bellamy, holding Finn to the ground and punctuating every few words with a punch. That's kind of hot. Wait, I mean... nothing. I struggle to stand and hobble over to them.

"Bellamy!" I yell, shaking his shoulder to get him to stop. He lands a few more blows before standing up and taking a few steps back, pushing me behind him. Finn stands up, wiping the blood from his nose. We stood silent for a moment.

"Really, Bellamy! You're going to attack me? That faggot deserves what was coming to him!" Finn shouts. Bellamy shouts right back.

"Don't call him that! You deserved every hit I got on you! Leave Murphy alone!" He shouts, a vein on his neck popping out. I have to admit, Tough Guy Bellamy was definitely turning me on. Finn takes a step forward and Bellamy puts his arm out, pushing me further behind him.

"Why are you defending him?" Finn hisses, venom dripping from every word.

"Because he's a hell of a lot better person than you are! And seeing you be such an ass to him is done! You're gonna leave him alone or you and me are going to be seeing each other again. Now get out of here!" Bellamy shouts, shoving Finn backwards. Finn backs off, but he continues with his comments.

"What? Are you gay too, Bell? Are you gonna run off with your little boyfriend to go fuck somewhere?" He retorts, stalking off in the other direction.

"Fuck off, Finn. I better not see you bothering Murphy anymore." Bellamy calls after him before turning to me. "Are you alright, Murph?" He asks, his voice instantly calm and soothing. I stand there, dumbfounded and love-struck.

"I don't know what to say." I admit, staring at the insanely attractive man in front of me. He smiles, pulling open the door of his rover that was parked on the side of road. He must has been driving by when he saw Finn's vicious attack. He reached into the backseat and pulled a towel out of a duffle bag. He stood in front of me and wiped the blood off my face. I couldn't help but blush.

"How about a thank you?" He teased, his hand on my cheek as he dabbed the towel across my lip.

"Right. Uh... Thanks Bellamy. But why?" I ask. I mean, he didn't have to stop and help me. He could've left me there to get pummeled by an airheaded jock. Bellamy rolled his eyes, a small smirk on his face.

"Stop asking that." He says, throwing the towel back into the car.

"What?"

"Stop asking me why I help you. I already told you. I don't want you to get hurt. I care about you." He says, turning back to me and looking into my eyes. I feel the urge to look away, but I try my best to look him in the eye.

"You aren't making this easy." I say under my breath. But Bellamy hears me.

"I don't make what easy?" He asks, eyes filled with concern. That does it.

"Damnit, Bellamy! I love you Bellamy, and you're not making it easy to let it go." I blurt. I instantly feel myself go red. Bellamy stands there, shocked. I fucked up. I just fucked it up.

"Uh... Sorry." I stutter, completely embarrassed. Bellamy steps forward, his hand cupping my neck and pulling me into him. His lips connect with mine. They're rough, yet soft at the same time. I kiss back, my arms finding they're way around his neck. After an eternity, we pull apart, gasping for air. We stand there, our bodies close. I know for a fact that I'm bright red. Bellamy seems shocked by his own actions.

"I'll take you home." He says, breaking the silence.

Yay! First Murphamy kiss!
