Chapter 35

Lauren's POV

I grab the bouquet of flowers and walk up to the apartment, I knock on the door and the person behinds it opens it with a big smile.

"My little MJ, it's so good to see you!"

"Hi Mr. Santana"

I hug him then he lets me in, I hand him the flowers and he gives me another hug.

"How are you? Your parents? Those other badasses?" He laughs

"I'm good, they're good. Life is better somewhat." I say

"Better cause you ain't been bothering to see me?" He jokes

"Come on! It's not even like that Eli!"

"Mhmm, I'm too old for you now?"

"You're not even old, you're fifty two years young" I laugh

"When am I gonna meet this girlfriend of yours?" He asks

"Aaliyah's party? It's in two weeks" I say

"I'm gonna try my best to come but if I don't just bring them by" He says

"What do you mean if you don't come? Why wouldn't you?" I ask

"You know I got this leg thing going on Lo"

"Mr. Santana I know something's wrong with you, why won't you tell me?"

"It's not that serious"

"Then tell me"

He sighs and runs his hand through his curls.

"I have a liver disease" He mumbles

"Well what the fuck do you mean it's not that serious?!" I yell

"You don't need to worry Lauren, you have more than enough to take care of right now" He says

He lightly squeezes my shoulder and smiles at me, I place my head on his shoulder and give him a big hug.

"You're gonna be okay, right? It's not near death or anything?" I ask

"Not near death, the treatment is working" He chuckles

"Who's running the store?" I ask

"My son and daughter, I pop in on my good days" He says

"I don't know what I'd do without you"

I walk up to Normani's door and knock hard on it, knowing it's gonna upset her. She opens the door and grabs my jaw.

"Stop beating on my door" She says

"Stop beating on my meat" I say

She grins and connects our lips, pulling me into the house. She kisses my neck and puts her hand in my sweats.
