Song- Firework by Katy Perry

"Sweetheart, I have to babysit Zoey this weekend and you are babysitting with me. Okay?" Ash says standing in my bedroom doorway.
"Okay." I say not looking up from my book.
"Oh and we are taking her to Disney World." He finishes. I jump up from my bed, wide eyed.
"Really?" I ask. He laughs and nods. I jump up and down while he laughs at me.

I wake up on Saturday and realize what I'm doing today. I jump out of bed and go to my bathroom. After taking a quick shower I put a towel around my hair and my robe over my body. I go back to my room and to my closet. I grab a white t-shirt with Mickey Mouse on it, black jeans, a denim jacket and black converse. I put them on, tying the denim jacket around my waist and putting my leather jacket on.
I grab my phone before going downstairs.
"Morning, Batman." I say to Ash who was trying to convince Zoey to put her skirt back on.
"Morning, Sweetheart." He says glancing at me. "Zo, put your skirt back on." Zoey was dressed in a white shirt with Minnie's head on it, a red and white polka dot skirt and matching bow headband. She had white converse on as well.
"And we are ready!" Ash screams after successfully getting Zoey's skirt on her. I laugh as he picks her up and we walk to his car.
He hands me her and runs over to the drivers side door, leaving me to buckle her in her seat. She always throws a fit when anyone puts her in her seat but once she's in she doesn't care. I have yet to try but I guess now I will.
"Haha. Very funny." I say sarcastically as he unlocks the car with a smirk on his face.
"I know." He says getting in the car. I open the backseat door and set her in the seat. She smiles at me babbling to herself. I strap her in and she doesn't fuss at all. Ash looks at me with wide eyes. I shrug and close her door. I buckle myself in the front seat and turn the radio on. I flip through a few stations before settling on one that was playing Firework by Katy Perry.
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting thought the wind
Wanting to start againDo you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving inDo you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thingDo you know that there's still a chance for you
'Cause there's a spark in youYou just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-yBaby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down down downYou don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbowMaybe a reason why all the doors are closed
So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road
Like a lightning bolt, your heart will glow
And when it's time, you'll knowYou just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-yBaby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down down downBoom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
It's always been inside of you, you, you
And now it's time to let it through'Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-yBaby you're a firework
Come on let your colors burst
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
You're gonna leave 'em fallin' down down down
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moon
Boom, boom, boom
Even brighter than the moon, moon, moonI sing forgetting that Ash is in the car. I love this song.
"Holy crap Sweetheart! I didn't know you could sing that well!" Ash says clapping his hands and steering with his knee.
"Two things. One, hands on the wheel and two, you've heard me sing before." I say pointing to the wheel.
"Yes but my singing was mixed in with that so it doesn't count." He says putting his hands on the wheel again.
"Good point." I say.
"You just insulted my singing!" He
gasps."You said it first." I argue.
"That doesn't mean you can agree!" He says glancing from the road to me and back.
"Whatever." I give up and look out the window.
