Being Strong- Poem 43

Calling yourself strong is just ignorant

Being called strong is just noble

Though, the ones that call you strong

Really know nothing

Nothing of what you have gone through

You smile and say 'thank you' anyway

Because as you turn away

Your heart breaks.

People say that voicing your thoughts is the beginning of the cure

But why can't it appeal to me like everyone else

Dear, that's the beauty of being strong

That's what makes being strong so hard,

No one asks you if you are okay.
