Be the one they need,
Not the one they want.
Don't give them too much of yourself,
If they know who you are
And what is going on in your skull,
They won't see you the same.
They will watch you constantly.
Not in curiosity in your strangeness,
But in fear of what you could do.
Not what you could do to others,
But what you could do to yourself.
They will fear the stress and anxiety
That you nonchalantly
place on your own weak shoulders.
Yes,
Many fear someone that will take more pain
Then give it.
The moral is,
People are just selfish.
So teach them
That they should only accept
What they need.
Not what they want.
Love and care enough to deal with
The pain that no one else will.
