Sonic the Hedgehog made his debut on the Sega Genesis with the first game in his long-running franchise: "Sonic the Hedgehog" in 1991. Ever since, there have been many more games that are still being made to this day, despite going through some major changes through the different eras.
The following story you're about to read is my personal take, an Alternate Universe if you prefer, of the storyline of the Sonic series. It is an overall retelling of the events of Sonic 1 and Sonic CD, with some elements from other Sonic media, such as the Archie Comics, the DIC television shows, and some of my own ideas.
Be aware that this is NOT the official storyline of the Sonic series. If you want to know the official Sonic story, go to the Sonic News Network Wiki and look it up. This story is just a FanFiction that's here for entertainment purposes and no intention of copyright infringement.
