Jaeden was scared. He was the only person he had ever heard of that coughed up rose petals and he was sure that the doctor probably had no idea what it was.
"Lieberher," the secretary called beckoning Jaeden and his mom to step into the doctor's office from their place in the waiting room.
When they were inside of the room and closed off to wandering eyes and ears the doctor asked, "So you're coughing up flowers?"
Jaeden nodded but was elbowed by his mom.
"Yes, sir."
"I have treated similar conditions like this and the most common one is called Hanahaki. It causes the patient to cough up flower petals until their crush likes them back or you will have to get the petals surgically removed."
"Crush?" Jaeden and his mom said at the same time.
"You have a crush?" his mom asked.
Well, Jaeden thought, there was this one boy that more often than not Jaeden found himself thinking about, wondering what it would be like to kiss him, wondering how it would feel to to be cuddled by him. He had even masturbated to the thought of him.
Jaeden cleared his throat before speaking. "Wyatt. I like this boy named Wyatt."
