Chapter 9:Day Two

I woke up the next morning and put on my white tank and blue diamond design shorts. I grabbed my white clutch and slipped on some tan sandals and walked over to Londons bungalow to see if she was up. I knocked on the door and she answered wearing a black spaghetti shirt with flower shorts."Oh you're dressed already?" "Yeah,come on in." I came in and flopped down on her bed. She flopped on the bed beside me and we started taking selfies together.

She jumped up and slipped on her white converse and we left her bungalow. We walked over to Iishas and started knocking on the door. She didn't answer so London started making beats on her door and I matched her. Iisha finally came and opened the door. As I suspected she wasn't ready. "What are you doing in here? You are still in your pjs." "Why y'all making beats on my door,she said?" "Cause you wasn't answering so we figured you needed a wake up call." "I was sleep." "Smh.Hurry up and get dressed and come meet me at my bungalow." "Alright." London and I walked back to my bungalow and sat on my patio. There was a light breeze blowing and it helped to soothe the blazing of the sun. We sat in the patio chairs and just talked about whatever. Iisha finally came over wearing a white tank crop top and linen pants. She accessorized with a straw hat and black sunglasses.

"Finally,I said." "Took you long enough,London said." "Whatever,yall always ganging up on me." London and I shrugged our shoulders. We left my bungalow and headed down to the beach to squish our toes in the sand. London decided she wanted to go snorkeling and Iisha decided she wanted to try a yoga class. I really wasn't interested in doing either so we went our separate ways. I stayed at the beach squishing my toes in the sand and taking videos of the beautiful waves rolling in. I posted a video and a few pictures to snapchat and put my phone back in my clutch. I threw my head back with my eyes closed and just enjoyed the sunshine and the sound of the ocean.All of a sudden my view seemed to go dark and I opened my eyes to see a figure standing over me. I immediately jumped up alarmed and came face to face again with Liam. "What are you doing here,I said looking around?" He smiled those pearly whites at me and my knees went weak. Before I knew what had happened I was sitting back in the sand. He kneeled down in front of me and asked me if I was alright. "Im sorry for startling you. I actually wasn't sure it was you at first,but I should know that beautiful face anywhere." I looked at him and blinked my eyes really fast a few times. My mind went blank and I didn't know what to say to him. Finally I asked him again,"What are you doing here?" "Oh I'm shooting a music video for my new song." I looked at him confused. "What are you like an artist or something?" He smiled at me again,"Yeah I like to think of myself as a Young R&B Samurai." I finally smiled back at him,"Thats cute. So you out here slaying the R&B game?" "Yeah Im trying to,as he stood up." He held out his hand and helped me up. I started wiping sand off of me and he started to help. His hand grazed across my backside and it sent a shiver up my spine. I don't know what it was about this guy but he just gave me butterflies. I looked up into his eyes as he continued to wipe me down until all remnants of the sand were gone. "Thanks." "No problem.So where are your friends,he asked looking around?" "Oh London went snorkeling and Iisha took a yoga class." "Nice. Snorkeling and yoga not your cup of tea?" "Ive never tried either actually,but I think I just wanted to be alone and take in this beautiful scenery." "It is beautiful,he said staring deep into my eyes." "Did you want me to leave you alone?" "Actually,no I think the company would be nice." I gave him a smile and a huge grin spread across his face. He grabbed my hand and we walked along the beach talking and getting to know each other more. He made the big move from Australia to L.A. since he was signed to a record label there.We walked and talked until the sun started to set and I heard my phone ringing in my purse. I pulled it out and it was London. "Hey best friend,whats up?" "Where are you? We've been looking for you everywhere!" "Oh sorry,I ran into someone and was just hanging out." I turned around and Liam had disappeared. I spun around in a circle and he was nowhere to be found. "Faith! Faith!" I heard London yelling through the phone. "Sorry,Ill meet you back at the bungalows." I hung up the phone and continued searching for Liam,but I couldn't find him. I made the long trek back to the bungalows and was greeted by my two frantic friends. They were both shouting questions at me. I threw up my hands. "Im okay guys Im okay." "Where did you go,London asked?" "I ran into Liam on the beach." "Liam?" "Isnt that the hottie you kept running into back home?" "That would be the one." "What is he doing here,London asked?" "He said he was shooting a music video. Apparently he's some music artist signed to RCA records." "Yeah right,Iisha shouted." I shrugged my shoulders. "Thats what he told me,and I think I believe him." "Thats weird that he would be at the same resort in the same country as us." "Yeah I thought so too,but hes really sweet and I had a good time with him." "I guess best friend,London said." "I would still watch him though,something about him seems off,Iisha said." I shrugged my shoulders again and asked "So what are we eating for dinner?" "We were just talking about that and just thinking about getting room service. Snorkeling kind of wore me out and Iisha is being lazy and doesn't want to go out anywhere." "Room service is fine.Im kind of ready to call it a day as well. Who knew walking up and down the beach could be so exhausting?" We separated and all headed back to our own bungalows. "Goodnight guys,I said." Goodnight, they both said in unison." I walked into my bungalow to find a huge teddy bear sitting on the floor holding over a dozen red roses. There was a single white rose in the center of the red roses. There was a note addressed to me placed gently on the stems of the roses. I picked it up and slowly looked around the room as if the mystery admirer would still be here. I flipped open the letter to find a short note. "Im sorry about running off like that. I hope I can make it up to you tomorrow night,but here is a start. The single white rose symbolizes you because you are one in a million. -Liam

I smiled so big that my cheeks started to hurt. I glanced around the room once more expecting to see him and was halfway disappointed when I didnt. I went to take a shower and then laid in my bed. I forgot all about ordering room service and dozed off wondering how Liam got that big bear and flowers into my room.
