7:42 am
I don't know what compelled me to wake up at this time after sleeping by five am but obviously I'm up and it sucks.
I grab my phone from the nightstand and check for any new notifications.
None.
No new messages.
Jon never replied after my somewhat nosy message. I can't help but feel some kind of feeling brewing. Disappointment perhaps?
Maybe he just fell asleep.
Yeah. Maybe.
I guess I'd have to wait until later to actually find out.
Jon aside, my head aches like hell. I move over on my bed and grab table water from beside the other side of my bed and after drinking like four gulps, I fall back on my pillow and the last thing I remember seeing were my burberry sheets looking back at me.
This is weird.

“Tayo.”
He looks up from his spot on the kitchen island where he's seated with Lola eating spaghetti and tomato stew. “Yeah? What's up?” before shoving a very disturbing amount of spag into his mouth.
“Simi! you're finally awake! ” Lola says in between giggles. I just glare at her.
“Shut up. Where's mom though? ”
“Mom's upstairs. I think she's leaving for work soon. ” Lola replies in between bites of spaghetti.
“Table manners, pigeon.”
She just looks at me with with what's supposed to be her stern face, I guess, then shrugs before returning to her food.
“So, Tayo?”
He fake-smiles at me, “What's up?”
I ignore his face and just ask, “Is Jon coming over today?”
“Why?”
“Nothing really. Just need to know.” I reply and then shrug.
“Oh my god! Someone has a —”
“I swear Lola, if you say one more stupid thing, I'm going to — ”
“Someone has a pimple! I was going to say pimple, Simi.” She interjects.
I just squint my eyes and she shrugs yet again. I don't think Tayo's even listening to one single thing we're saying because his whole attention's on the plate of food before him.
Why do boys eat like they're vacuums please?
“TAYO!! ”
“Simi, what is it again? ” he replies but not before sighing dramatically.
“Come on! Just answer the question!”
He sighs again. Then, “I don't think so. I think I'd go over there later.”
Wonderful. “Fine.”
“Good. Can I eat in peace now? By the way, yours is in the microwave. Just heat it up when you're ready to eat.”
“Thanks, mom. And no.”
“No? ” He says whilst raising a brow and giving me a bored look.
“No, you can't eat in peace yet. Duh?”
