It took about a year for T'Challa and his medical team to find a cure for Bucky, but they found it nonetheless. Once all the proper tests had been done on his mind, T'Challa still had one last gift for Bucky, a new arm. Unlike his last one, this arm was made out of vibranium, not only was it now stronger than his last, but with Wakanda's advanced technology, they were able to create a flesh hologram option for when he wanted to go out without being noticed or feared.

"As you can see, we've removed the red star on your shoulder. King T'Challa insisted on the new design." The nurse told Bucky as Steve walked into the room with T'Challa.

"Why did he want it changed?" Bucky asked curiously as he looked the new arm over, testing out the joints and reflexes.

"He wishes to help you find peace, he believed if he could get rid of as much of hydra as possible, it would bring you closer to that peace. To him, just getting rid of your trigger words were not enough." She explained with a small smile.

"I hope it does not cause an issue, I just thought it might help you." T'Challa spoke softly as him and Steve walked closer to Bucky, who finally took notice to them.

"No, of course not." Bucky spoke before looking back at his arm. "I like the change." He whispered as he ran his fingers over the metal plates. "It's a welcomed chance." He spoke to himself, even though the two heard it clearly.

"It looks good on you Buck." Steve told him with a smile. "Have you tried out the hologram?" He asked.

"Hologram?"

"Ah, yes. I was getting to that. You see, along with its new look, there's also new technology involved. Your arm can now appear as it would if you had never lost it just by pressing here." She told him as she pressed a small button on the inside of his wrist, transforming the arm into a regular looking one.

"Wow..." Bucky trailed off as he examined the arm again, noticing it looked exactly like his real arm, down to the fingerprints.

"As you can see, we wanted nothing but the best for you." She told him as she rested her hand on his, pulling his thoughts back to reality.

"Thank you. It's amazing." He told her and T'Challa.

"You're very welcome, Mr. Barnes." T'Challa replied.

"Please, call me Bucky." He told him with a small smile.

"Very well, Bucky." T'Challa replied before exchanging a few words with the nurse. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must be on my way." He told Bucky and Steve before leaving the two of them in the room.

"So, how are you feeling?" Steve asked nervously as he watched his friend get off of the bed and begin to walk around the room a bit to stretch.

"I feel like myself for once." Bucky replied with a faint smile as he looked over his left arm again. "It feels good."

That was about a year ago, and since then, the avengers had finally settled their differences as well as adding new members like Bucky and T'Challa to the team. Most of the team lived together in the compound now and were no longer in hiding after the charges had dropped thanks to Tony and T'Challa using some of their own tricks to make that happen.
