As most of you know, a lot of my writing does sometimes come from past experiences, turning them into something marvel related. This is one of them, something I think I've needed to get off of my chest for years. I will admit, I can be a very clingy person, and it has been my downfall many times, causing lots of problems. I was also young and naive at one point, not anymore. I hope this will help at least one person out there that may be going through the same things.

Warnings: mentions and acts of molestation, a bit of angst, as well as some fluff, mental breakdown, I think that's it.

Being a Stark was an interesting thing. It had its perks, the parties, the large beautiful homes, and of course your brother was great too. Tony was the only one you had for so much of your life. At ten years apart, he had to really step up when your parents were killed. Your brother practically raised you for most of your life, so it only made sense that you would cling to him, not wanting your last bit of family to disappear from your life completely. The clingy behavior became a part of you, and anytime you had someone enter your life that you felt was an improvement, you wouldn't want them to leave.

Unfortunately this behavior would sometimes lead to clinging to the wrong people. People that would use you, whether it was for your money, to get to your brother, or your body. Sometimes you just couldn't tell, you tried your best to always see the good in people. You were never as popular as your brother when you were in school, compared to his years in school, you were practically a loser. You were different, and even though your brother loved you no matter how you acted, others weren't so drawn to your personality.

In high school, things felt like they were changing a bit, not necessarily when it came to popularity, but when it came to getting some attention. You were so used to having a crush turn you down, saying you weren't what they were looking for, or that you weren't "girlfriend material". It was something you had believed wholeheartedly, until one bot finally came along, Eric. His eyes drew you in, crystal blue, you swore you could actually see them sparkle when he smiled, and the smile was next to draw you in, as well as his dorky personality, you could feel yourself already falling for him. You always fell fast and hard for a boy, normally before you had even exchanged numbers.

Once he had your number, everything moved so fast. Texts about wanting to see your body would fill your messages, was this a normal thing? Your stomach would do flips anytime his name appeared on your screen, even though the messages seemed weird, you were glad to finally have some attention for a crush, and you would do almost anything to keep it. When talks about your virginity came into play, you couldn't lie, you had never done anything, you hadn't even kissed anyone yet. That was when he brought up the idea to be your first kiss, but he wanted things in return, he wanted to touch you.

What would happen if you told him no? Would he leave? You didn't want to be alone again, but Tony's voice rang through your head. "Guys are pigs, most of them will do anything to get into a girls pants. Don't fall for their tricks." But this feeling, this boy gave you attention you had never gotten from anyone, certainly one little touch wouldn't hurt? You couldn't have been more wrong, years of unwanted groping, sliding his hands under your shirt or inside your pants, grabbing your hand to have you feel him, no matter how many times you said no, that it was weird, but he still gave you attention... attention no other guy would give you, maybe he was the only one that would ever give you that attention. You didn't want to be alone. He never said you were dating, he said he wanted to "protect you", telling you if anyone knew what was happening, then your reputation would be ruined, you would be labeled a whore. You couldn't have that, so you stayed.

He would date girls in between, ignoring you the whole time, but once they left him, you would be at his beck and call, giving him what he wanted so you could feel wanted yourself. You clung to the feeling of being wanted, you clung to the attention, even years later.
