Warnings: angst because I'm sad rn, small amounts of fluff but mostly angst, not the Steve everyone is used to for a little bit, reader has telepathy because of a lab accident with Tony when they were younger (I didn't really want to explain it in the story), violence, blood, language idk what else I can say without spoiling.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Your daughter called, as she played hide and seek with the two of you. "Where are you!?" She laughed as she searched through the lounge area of the compound, huffing when neither of you turned up. "Uncle Tony! I need you!" She shouted, smiling when she saw him appear from around the corner.

"What is it princess?" Tony asked as he made his way towards her.

"Can Friday help me with something important?" She asked, batting her eyelashes to show off her big blue eyes that mirrored Steve's.

"Are you using her to cheat in another game?" Tony laughed.

"It's not cheating, I'm using my resources." She shrugged before walking to the window to look outside, wondering if the two of you hid somewhere out there.

Tony couldn't help but laugh at her comment, sure she looked a lot like Steve, but her attitude and mind were all yours, as well as her powers that she had yet to understand. Her last name may be Rodgers, but she was a Stark deep down. "Tell you what, just for that, you can have access to Friday for the next five minutes." Tony bargained, laughing again when he saw his niece run towards him with her arms open wide for a hug.

"Thanks uncle Tony! You're the best!" She told him with a smile on her face.

"You better always think that, kid"

"I'm really surprised it's taking her this long to find us." You whispered, as you sat across from your husband in the air vents.

"It's because I picked such a great spot." Steve smirked, causing you to chuckle.

"Careful Steve, she might smell your ego and find us." You laughed.

"Ha ha, very funny y/n." He shot back, playfully rolling his eyes. "She's five, she'll never think to look-"

"Found you!" Your daughter giggled, peaking through the vent to see you laughing, as Steve stared at her in shock.

"You did good baby girl!" You told her as you crawled out of your hiding space, taking her from Tony's arms who held her up to find the two of you. "But I think you cheated." You laughed.

"Nope, she used her resources." Tony smirked, "I guess it helps her to have a genius uncle like myself."

"Speaking of keeping people's egos in check." You mumbled to yourself before turning back to Tony, "oh please, don't pretend you're smarter than me, how else would she know to use you to her advantage?" You laughed as you rubbed your nose against her, causing her to giggle while Tony stared at you dumbfounded.

"Good job Sarah." Steve laughed as you handed her off to him, smiling as you watched him blow raspberries on her cheeks. "But you still cheated!" He joked.

"No! Mommy said to always used whatever resources I had, mine were Tony and Friday!" She explained as she went to climb onto her fathers shoulders. "Right mommy!?"

"That's right baby girl." You laughed before your eyes found your husbands again. "She's gotta be able to be ready for anything, her mind is capable of anything, no sense in keeping it in chains." You told him before opening your arms for Sarah again. "Now come on sweetie, since you won, you get to pick dinner."

"Yay! Can we get McDonald's!?" She asked with those big blue eyes.

"McDonald's, that stuff is so bad." Steve groaned.
