This one is a request from @IBelongtoTB1 , i hope this is what you were looking for.

Warnings: abuse and mentions of it, I think that's it.

Since the very moment she entered your lives, you and Steve knew your daughter would be the center of your world. The first time you held your sweet bundle of joy, her cries immediately ceased, and a faint smile could be seen. Steve would wrap his arm around you, lifting his other hand to rub his thumb against her small and squishy face. His tears of joy could not be hidden when she wrapped her tiny fingers around his thumb, a moment the two of you would cherish forever.

When she was able to be brought back to the tower, she had every single Avenger wrapped around her finger, and thee center of your world, was now the center of your teams world. Lacey was always the happiest person in the tower, no matter who it was, no matter what had happened, she could bring a smile to everyone's face. As the years went by, you were lucky to be able to say, she had stayed that happy girl. You knew how had life could be, especially school, and all you could do was hope that her experience was nothing like yours and Steve's, but even if she had ended up like the two of you, you would have done everything in your power to help her through it.

You couldn't explain it even if you tried, there was just something about your daughter that brought out the best in her classmates, allowing her to gain a lot of attention and friends. In your minds, nothing could be better for your daughter, but what neither of you realized was that all attention does not necessarily mean good attention, but that would be taught later.

Once she had graduated high school, it was time for her to leave the nest, much to yours and Steve's surprise. "Sweetie, what do you mean you're moving out already? I thought you were planning on going to college, its not that easy to do when you have to pay rent." You tried to explain as calmly as you could, nervously biting your thumb nail as you stood in her doorway, Steve pacing in her room.

"I just think I need to try and live on my own for once, maybe try to see the world." She explained as she sat on her bed, twiddling her thumbs in her lap, and watching her father anxiously pace.

"If you want to go out and see the world, let us take you." Steve offered, "we've always told you that we want to give you everything our parents couldn't. You could even bring some of your friends if you want." He continued to suggest.

"But I wouldn't be on my own..." she told you both sadly, you knew the look very well, the dreams of a young girl being crushed, and you felt the oh so familiar pain.

"Lacey, we just want what is best for you, you know that, right?" You asked as you now sat beside her, nodding for Steve to do the same. "Sweetie, its just that... you're still so young, and there is a lot about the world that you still don't know of. We just don't want something to happen to you, you know there's always a risk of something happening with you being our only child." You explained, frowning when you saw her shed a tear.

"How can I learn about those things if I don't have a chance to find out for myself? I can't just stay here and be protected forever because something might happen to me one day." She told the both of you, beginning to grow frustrated.

"We know that Lace, we know, I promise." Steve told her, reaching to hold her hand in his, his eyes watering when she instantly pulled away, standing up to talk to the both of you now.

"Please, just let me do this." She begged, tears falling down her cheeks. "Let me try to grow on my own."

Much to your disappointment, she was moving out. Not in secret, after many nights of arguing, you both realized she had a point, there was no way for her to learn about the world without going out to be on her own. With the help of Tony as the mediator, all of you were able to reach a middle ground, she would be allowed to be on her own, but only if she lived with one of her friends that you and Steve trusted.
