Warnings: angst, some fluff, violence, and a much needed happy ending after part one.

A couple weeks had gone by, and Bucky didn't say much, he wasn't really sure what he could say. He didn't leave his room much, and socializing with his other team members seemed to be a thing of the past. He had called your foster home a couple times to check up on you, but you would refuse to talk to anyone, and your foster parents rarely caught a glimpse of you, only seeing you when you ate before you ran away to hide again, barricading the door so no one could come in, so no one could hurt you again.

He couldn't call anymore, knowing he was causing you more pain only made him feel worse about his decision. This was what was best for you, that's what he had to keep telling himself. Once the first month had finally passed, Bucky finally took it upon himself to empty out your room, it would just be another memory of you, and he couldn't handle them anymore. Steve and Tony offered to help, knowing this would be a difficult thing for him to do, and they would be there to help him through it, although this would be hard on them as well.

With Steve and Tony standing behind him, Bucky slowly opened your bedroom door, taking in a shaker breath as the light began to illuminate the room. He froze, he remembered the last time you were here, you were so happy before he had told you his plan, so care free. His eyes watered at the memory, turning when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

"We're here for you, you'll get through this." Steve told him, only able to offer a weak smile to his friend. The three of them walked inside, and no one dared to touch any of the items before Bucky did. Steve and Tony watched as Bucky walked over to your small desk, studying his behavior when he saw something.

There was another picture, one you had made for him only hours before he broke the news to you. "I love you forever" plastered at the top of it, with a picture of the two of you holding hands while you stood on top of the tower. He had never even seen this picture, he was so worried about keeping you safe that he hadn't even taken notice to anything else. He was about to say something, but just then the alarm went off throughout the tower, causing everyone too quickly exit the room and meet in the lounge area.

"Friday, what's going on?" Tony asked, typing in a few codes on his phone to bring everyone their uniforms.

"There's been an explosion and kidnapping." The AI responded.

"We don't do kidnappings." Tony responded, only to have his eyes widen when the AI continued.

"You do when they involve enhanced beings. Y/n has been kidnapped from her foster home."

"Kidnapped by who?" Steve asked urgently.

Life was awful there, you had a family already, one you loved dearly, and now you were living with strangers who you felt could never live you the same way. But you weren't really loved anymore, at least that was what you felt. The pain of loosing your father was too much to handle, and you never wanted to feel that pain again, so you hid yourself from the world, locking yourself in your room any chance you got.

Everything was hazy, one minute you were drawing in your notebook, and the next you were under piles of rubble. All you could hear was a high pitched ringing, only being able to see flashes of what was happening. You could hear footsteps through the rubble, blocks of concrete and bricks being moved. You tried to call for help, but you weren't sure if you could even be heard. Finally a hand repacked out to grab you, lifting you into their arms and into their ambulance.

When they strapped you into your gurney, you let out a small sigh, only to groan in pain when they tightened the straps even more. Looking over, you saw the man who carried you in here, examining his uniform, your eyes widening when you saw the familiar pin on his shirt, this was Hydra. You were about to scream for help, but a mask was quickly placed over you before they injected you with a sedative, causing you to completely black out until they would awaken you back at their base.
