Part 10: The ruined homecoming

" Bridget hurry and get down here. You are already late " my mom said. I can hear her all the way up to my close bedroom door

" I'll be down in a minute " I said putting my earrings on. I made sure that my outfit looked alright in my full body length mirror. I grabbed my phone and put it in my clutch then headed downstairs

" I thought that you will never get down here. The party already started " my mom said while I was coming down the stairs

" Beauty takes time " I said with a smile as I stood in front of here and Dave

" That's doesn't work in your case when your already beautiful " my mom said

" Thanks mom " I said

" How about some pictures " Dave said waving the camera

" Just a few. I want to make it before all the food is gone " I said posing for him

" Then you should have been down an hour. ago " Dave said laughing while taking the picture.

" So where my homecoming date? " I asked after Dave was down with the pictures

" Jut pulled up in the driveway. I want to take a few pictures of you guys together before you go " Dave said opening the front door

" Is that necessary? " I said trying to find a way to not take a picture with him

" Yes very. This is your first homecoming after all. We need photos of us together to remember this special night " Luke said stepping into the house walking over to me. He pulled me on close and posed for the camera. We did a couple of posing before saying goodbye to our parents and got into Luke's car

" You don't have to come into the school. Just drop me off and pick me up when I call " I said looking over at him

" That was the agreement. You only going with me to make our parents happy since I don't have a date. We really don't have to go together " I said trying to jog his memory on the plan

" I know what we had said but I change my mind. Your school doesn't have a policy of just students/ no outsiders at any school party. So I'm welcomed. Besides I never turn down a chance to party " Luke said chuckling the last part

" Look who finally decided to grace us with there presents " Brent said to us when we were walking up to them
