You were not a good person.
Granted that could've been the understament of the century, either way you knew you weren't spending eternity with angels and their shiny halos all the way up in Jesus land.

And you were okay with that.

You knew going into this field there was no going back, only with a bullet through the head. And you were not going out with a bang.

As a young kid you had high hopes of fixing whatever was wrong in the world, you wanted to be a hero. Needles to say as you grew older you learned some things were unsaleable.

This made you see the world in a hole different light. As a science researcher for Hydra you had been assigned with wiping agent James Barnes memory every time he remembered something.

It was a strange relationship you guys had. First you'd flirt going in, then he'd be stone cold like the Hydra operative he was.

This is one of your very interesting conversations.

"We meet again agent Barnes" you checked you imaginary clock and ticked your tongue "Isn't it a little early to be stirring up trouble"

He sat down a little too eagerly with a smile and a flirtarious wink in his eye "Can't blame me doll, I just wanted to see your face"

"Sure" you laughed with a pen in hand "what do you feel agent Barnes" as you looked at him you smiled at the twinkle in his eyes. He didn't deserve this.

"Am afraid it wouldn't be appropriate to say, sweets" he winked in your direction as your laugh boomed in the small lab. You liked the witty agent but you knew there was no other way.

"Wipe him" you said in a calm tone even though your insides were begging you not to. They were begging you not to destroy the only good thing that had happened to you, they told you not to destroy this like you had destroyed everything else in your life.

"What do you feel now agent Barnes" you were not just worthy of loving.

"Nothing" and maybe he knew it too.

"Just a girl with a knack for tragedies"

"Just a tragedy in itself"
