The food is scarce, families are starving, children are crying on the streets. Their wide eyes and haggard expressions, merely flashes of the pain they feel. As I walked down the road, I felt small knives of pity cutting into me, I knew I couldn't help.

We all survive on very basic nutritional foods. A few grams of rice, soggy bread, fruit cores and if you're lucky, maybe a full glass of water. Life was tough a lot tougher since the banks collapsed. Us poor keep getting poorer and the rich just get richer. Sometimes I wonder what they spend their money on.

The grumble of everyone's stomachs makes it seem like an eruption is about to occur. But that was normal for us. Being hungry and dirty that is.

Suddenly everyone gets up and starts moving. "So they're coming today." I sighed and waited for fate to take me. I just didn't want to deal with this anymore.

My name is Sean "Jack" McLoughlin and this is how I came to 'work' for Mark Fischbach.
