Silence (Naruto FanFiction - Rock Lee love story)

Preliminaries Part One

Kakashi watched the female as she ate at his small table, her eyes seeming to watch the area around her constantly. He wondered idly if this was how she always looked under her masked, so extremely tense and always watchful.
"I went out and grabbed an extra mask from your apartment. I hope you don't mind." He suddenly spoke, and her brilliant red eyes snapped to him.
Slowly she put down her utensils and gave a nod of thanks.
He quickly went to the living room and grabbed the fox mask, then brought it to her.
As soon as she touched it, the mask was secured to her head and again he couldn't watch her every emotion.
Most wouldn't be able to read emotions, but he could tell even through her training in the root she wasn't gone.

Soon enough the two were at the preliminaries and watching as the Hokage spoke to the teams who made it through.
Kiara was particularly happy to see a green covered shinobi standing in the bunch.
She tried to suppress the strange emotions that arose at the sight of him, but when he saw her and proceeded to grin. Her heart felt light but also heavy, and her cheeks seemed to heat up under the mask.
She couldn't help but give him a gentle wave of her own, then at the order of the Hokage she was with the group of shinobi.
Kakashi had been against the decision of keeping her in, especially since she was already higher then the shinobi in the exam.
However, the Hokage seemed to believe there was still something going on and he wanted someone of higher status in the group.

~~~~~~Sasuke Vs Yoroi~~~~~~
First up was Sasuke Uchiha vs Yoroi Akadō and as Kiara watched she noticed something strange happening to her teammate. He seemed to not only be fighting the opponent but something inside of him as well.
As strange black marks started to appear on his body, Kiara glanced at Kakashi who motioned that he would take care of it.
That's when show noticed how town up Sakura was about the fight, and without hesitation Kiara gently placed her hand on the pinkettes shoulder.
The kunoichi looked at Kiara with a shaky smile, but was soon watched Sasuke again.
As soon as the opponent was taken down and Sasuke was pronounced as the winner Sakura and Naruto were cheering.
As Kiara watched Kakashi was suddenly behind Sasuke, keeping him from falling over. Kiara suddenly noticed him clutching at his chest, and also flashed down in front of the boy.
Without hesitation she began to use medical ninjutsu, and with that she felt every eye focus on her back.
Kakashi looked down at her, he knew without a doubt that they knew she was not to be underestimated.
Kakashi spoke to Sasuke, talking to him about the mark and sealing it.
Kiara looked up at the man who had saved her only a few days ago, and couldn't help but wonder what his story was.
He seemed so protective of his students...
Suddenly she noticed he was looking at her with his one eye, and with a small flush of her cheeks she went back to her spot.
As she appeared beside Sakura, she suddenly noticed a certain green clad Shinobi nearby.
In a instant she was twiddling her thumbs, and waving at him gently.
"Kiara! It is nice to see you again! How is my youthful flower!?" At this Kiara seemed to turn completely red, and swayed in her spot.
Sakura noticed this, and grinned turning to the two.
"Oh Lee! It's good to see your okay from earlier! Thank you so much for protecting me!" At this Kiara turned to the pinkette, her heart seeming to fall at the idea of him saving her...'D-Did he do it...cause he likes her?...'
Her shoulders slumped slightly, but nobody seemed to notice but Sakura.
The pinkette turned to her comrade,"He did it all for you Kiara, stating that he was protecting the friends of the one he loves." She giggled when the masked girl seemed taken back at this.
There seemed to be steam coming from under the mask, signifying how red the kunoichi was turning.

~~~~~~~Zaku Vs Shino~~~~~~~
As the two fought, it was clear the winner was going to be Shino. Kiara noticed how his bugs were creeping into the opponents arms, and soon everyone had come to this conclusion as well.
"The winner is Shino Aburame."

~~Misumi Tsurugi Vs Kankurō~~

Right as the names were put on the board Kakashi suddenly appeared behind Sakura and Naruto.
"Hi."
"What do you mean Hi?! What about..what about Sasuke?" Sakura asked, her eyes pleading wth Kakashi to tell her some good news.
Kiara watched at Kankurō pulled off his puppet, and listened as Kakashi told the others Sasuke was resting in the infirmary.
At the sound of this Sakura relaxed and turned to watch the next match.
However, Kiara walked over to Kakashi, having noticed the shinobi's fingers were shaking slightly.
She couldn't help but touch her fingertips with his, a small message letting him know to pull himself together. Also, that she had his back and would help have his back.
Kakashi looked at the masked girl, as she watched the match going on. His eye trying to take in any emotion she was having, but knew that even though she showed nothing the kunoichi was full of emotions.
"Thank you...Kiara."
She gave a slight nod, then noticed the green clad shinobi nearby and her whole demeanor changed.
Kakashi noticed her tittering and couldn't help but sigh when he noticed who it was over.
'Of course...'
