The Blazing Shadow Appears With The Final Chapter

Chapter Sixteen:

Everyone was celebrating for the downfall of the Capitol and the defeat of the infamous Madara Uchiha and the Jūbi, celebrating with loved ones and in some cases, joking around with friends. Hotaru sat on a high tree branch, watching the Waning Crescent Moon shine dimly upon the land as the shadows cloaked her in its chilling embrace. Her knee long sunset orange, golden streaked hair was up in a braided bun with the excess hair braided into a snake braid down to her waist. She wore a form fitting hunter green sleeveless blouse with black pants that flared at the bottom and ankle high dark brown boots. She let her golden eyes focus on the moon, not even turning to acknowledge the presence of the person that climbed up to her place on the tree, radiating warmth that spread through her body like rain.

"I have found the lost firefly,"

She chuckled at the familiar deep voice and glanced over, only for gold to clash with silver, as her thick lips pulled into a grin in greeting yet all she got in return was a concerned frown. "What's wrong?" He asked, his seemingly silver eyes searching her own golden eyes for the reason she was upset. He watched as her eyes dimmed considerably, turning her bright sunlight-like gold eyes into a yellow mixed with black. "You know the thirteen that appeared a few days ago?" He nodded as she shifted her eyes back onto the moon, refusing to meet his gaze while her lips parted to mutter, "Hinata, Akamaru, and I have to go back to where we came from." Gale frowned as he let his eyes shift downward to the happy couple, an ever-present blush on Hinata's cheeks as her eyes sparkled with joy while Finnick held her in his arms, his forehead placed against hers with an idiotic grin on his face and his eyes closed with happiness. "You're upset because you don't want Hinata to go with you...huh?" Gale asked and let his eyes linger on the couple as Hotaru looked at him with shock. "That's not the only reason why Im upset, Gale." His head snapped up in shock at the use of his first name leaving her thick lips. She smiled slightly at his shock and whispered softly, her whispered words being caressed by the gentle breeze that blew at his dark brown hair,

"Because I don't want to leave you."

His eyes softened as he let his calloused, rough hand caress her face, palm pressed gently at her cheek as his digits brushed her hair softly. He pressed his forehead against hers and sighed softly, his free hand finding the one that was resting on her lap innocently, her skin calloused yet soft with years of training, he concluded, as his eyes closed. She smiled and looked down at their hands, hers molding perfectly into his. She froze, though, when she felt a very familiar chakra signature appear, her eyes widening as she pulled back from Gale. She got out one name that held loyalty and respect,

"Tsunade-sama (Lady Tsunade)."

Said woman smirked as she let her sharp hazelle eyes shift to her most powerful ANBU Commander. "Ah, Hotaru-chan! Seems to me you have a boyfriend, and a good-looking one at that!" Hotaru's cheeks darkened into a rosy pink as Tsunade turned to Hinata who was holding Finnick's hand. "Ah! You too, Hinata-chan! He's a sexy boyfriend!" Hinata's cheeks flushed crimson in embarrassment as Finnick chuckled, embracing Hinata and nuzzling her cheek with his. Hotaru jumped down from her perch on the tree and gracefully walked over to Tsunade before bowing in greeting. "Konichiwa Tsunade-sama (Hello, Lady Tsunade)." Hotaru greeted as she straightened from her bow. Tsunade grinned at her. "'Sup Hotaru-chan." "U-um, Tsunade-sama? Why are you here?" Hinata shyly and politely asked the Hokage of Konohagakure. Tsunade then replied, "Well, I was going to gather you fifteen back," which made Hinata and Hotaru frown, and Tsunade ignored them and continued with a smirk on her lips, "But I saw how happy you were so I'll leave the choice to you two." She looked up and barked, "REST OF YA...GET YOUR ASSES HERE RIGHT NOW OR ELSE I'LL MAKE OROCHIMARU FUCK YOU IN THE ASS FOR TEN YEARS!" In a flash, the thirteen friends of Hinata and Hotaru were behind Tsunade with pale, horrified faces, which made the two girls laugh. Tsunade turned to them with question in her eyes, her right eyebrow arched in her unspoken question. The two looked at each other, seemingly communicating silently with each other, before Hotaru smirked, "Well, looks like we're staying, but don't worry, we'll visit from time to time." Tsunade returned the smirk and did handsigns before declaring, "Ninpo: Sekai no Ma (Ninja Art: Between Worlds)!" as she stomped onto the ground with her heeled foot. Blue chakra expanded as it swirled, forming a portal. "Okay, jump in!" She ordered while pointing a manicured finger at the portal. Sai was the first to go with his farewell being, "Bye Lunar! Bye Firefly!" Everyone gaped at this. "Oh hell nah! Sai! Why do you give them cool nicknames and me 'Dickless'?!" Naruto roared as he went after Sai, his cerulean blue eyes glaring heatedly which made everyone remaining laugh while Sasuke sighed, "Dobe (Loser)." He glanced at the two girls and shockingly smiled, "See ya later, Chibi-hime, Hotaru-chan!" before going inside the portal while Naruto's shout of "Teme (Bastard)!" rang through. Sakura waved with a smile on her lips before she too went inside, roaring, "IF YOU THREE DON'T STOP IT, I'LL POUND YOU ALL THE WAY AROUND BOTH WORLDS!!!" Ino clung to Hinata, refusing to let go of her 'Adorable Hina-bear'. Chouji gently pried Ino from Hinata who started to struggle out of his grip. He unceremoniously threw her inside the portal before going inside himself with a "Sayonara, Hina-chan, 'Taru-chan!" thrown over his shoulder. Shikamaru sighed, "Mendōkuse," as he removed his bored brown eyes towards the two girls. He lazily grinned, "See ya later for cloud watching. And Hotaru, you owe me a match!" Hotaru chuckled and nodded, "I'll remember, Shika." He smirked and slid down the portal. Lee was dramatically crying, sobbing out, "Flames of Youth burning brightly!", "Beautiful Lily of Konoha,", "Beautiful Firefly of Konoha,", and "FAREWELL BEAUTIFUL FLOWER AND FIREFLY!" before Tenten got sick of his whining and kicked his ass into the portal as Neji sighed. He strode over to Hinata and hugged her tightly and as she buried her face into his shoulder, he glared at Finnick as he activated his Byakugan, clearly stating "Hurt-her-and-I-swear-to-the-heavens-above-I'll-kill-you". Finnick nodded and Neji nodded in approval as he deactivated his kekkei genkai, pulling away from Hinata before turning to the eighteen-year-old orange-haired kunoichi. He bowed lowly at her and said, "Please take care of Hinata-sama for me, Hotaru-sama." Hotaru's eyes widened in shock at the honorific before nodding. "I will," He nodded at her before leaving with a crying, waving Tenten. The last ones were Hinata's team. They immediately embraced Hinata in a bear hug with Akamaru joining in as well, making Hinata give out a watery laugh and Hotaru smile. "We'll miss you, Imouto-hime (Little Sister Princess)!" They chorused with Akamaru barking which made Hinata giggle. "I'll miss you too, Kiba-niisan, Shino-niisan." Kiba held back his tears, his pride on the line, as Shino turned to Hotaru and surprisingly hugged her. "I'll miss you, Onee-sama [Big Sister (Royalty Term)]." He admitted with his already masked face buried in her shoulder with his shoulder hunched over. Hotaru patted his back as Kiba joined in along with Akamaru. "Don't forget to visit, Onee-sama!" Kiba grinned in a teasing manner before getting a full on nudgy from a sadistically grinning Hotaru. "Itte (Ow)!" He got out as she continued to give him a nudgy. "Yamete [Stop (female referring)]!" Kiba cried out as Shino chuckled, shoving his hands in his pockets as he strode towards the portal and jumped in. Kiba quickly got out of her grip and ran towards the portal, but not before sticking his tongue out at her. "Oh hell no!" Hotaru yelled as she chased Kiba who yelped and quickly jumped inside the portal along with Akamaru. Tsunade chuckled and said, "Well, I'll see you girls later!" before jumping into the portal with it closing after she jumped in. Hotaru smirked as Gale held her hand while Finnick chuckled. "What do we do now?" Hinata asked which caused Hotaru to glance up at the moon, watching the stars twinkle brightly against a blanket of black.

"Now...we wait."
