If Only ⇢ Kai x Ein

⇢ Chapter 9

Kai's P.O.V

"M-Michi...?" I heard Ein say softly from behind me.

I turned around to face Ein, he was staring at the girl with his eyebrow raised and a confused look on his face.

"You know this girl?" I asked Ein.

When I was watching Ein amongst the trees, I don't recall ever seeing this girl.. Unless she wasn't there.

"Y-Yeah... She was helping me kidnap everybody..." Ein said softly

"And you were very rude to me!" Michi squeaked and tried to sound offended.

And that's when my memory snapped back, I do remember seeing her at one point. She was with Ein when they were walking to the lodge.

Ein just stayed silent, I could tell he was uncomfortable.

I turned back to Michi "Why exactly are you here? He's not interested in getting revenge anymore." I informed her with a stern voice.

Michi let out a loud, fake gasp and pouted her bottom lip.

"You think Michi wants to get revenge on anybody? This poor meif'wa just wants a place to rest.." She said, still pouting.

I rolled my eyes at her. Something told me not to trust her words.

"Y-You wouldn't let a meif'wa girl suffer alone in the cold, would you?" She whined, quivering her bottom lip this time.

I was mentally cringing at her bad acting at this point. Whether she was being sarcastic or genuinely wanted to harm us, I wasn't about to let her in. That was until-

"Aww look at her! Of course you can stay little meif'wa!" Ryder's voice suddenly beamed from behind me, making me gasp lightly and look at him disapprovingly.

"I agree! She just wants a home!" Jax joined, walking up to Michi and hugging her with Ryder.

I looked at the two and face palmed.

"Come on Kai! It's not like you to let a person in need suffer!" Ryder said, continuing to hug Michi who still had a pout on her face.

I growled lightly, obviously annoyed by the pair's dumbness.

"Jax, Ryder, can I please speak with you for a minute." I interrupted, causing them to let Michi go and walk closer to me.

"Uh.. Sure." Jax said and followed me into the kitchen, leaving Michi and Ein at the front door.

Once we reached the kitchen, I suddenly turned around and faced them with an angry expression.

"Guys, seriously? Do you not even know who that girl is?" I asked sternly.

"Yeah, she's a person in need!" Ryder answered.

I crossed my arms and glared at him.

"No, she was working with Ein when he was kidnapping everybody." I replied.

"And all of this could just be an act, we can't trust her. She needs to leave. She's a bad person and she could drive Ein back to insanity." I continued in a serious tone.

"Oh..." They both said in sync.

"But Ein already said he doesn't want to harm anyone anymore.." Jax said in a whisper.

"Yes, but does that give us a reason to let Michi stay? As I said, she's a bad person and she could make Ein feel uncomfortable. Not to mention that she's a complete stranger to us" I replied.
