Robin's Love (Teen Titans)

Part 38

  "well its about time you lovebirds got out of bed" Cyborg said making me blush instantly
"yeah well, whats so important?" Robin said getting to the point
"Robin...something came for you, we didn't really know what to do and it won't go away" BeastBoy said pointing to the bat perched on the windowsill, this can't be good
"oh.." Robin said looking shocked as he moved across the room to the bat, who was holding a note in its claws, Robin quickly snatched the note and read it over quickly
"What is it?" StarFire said looking as concerned as me
"um...I'm needed in Gotham City." Robin said not sounding too happy, "Batman and the Justice Leauge had to leave on a mission to OuterSpace and he needs someone to watch over the city until hes back..."
"Robin we do not wish yo to leave" StarFire said sadly
"I know, but i don't have a choice, I can't leave Gotham helpless" Robin said turning away and walking out of the living Room
"how long will he be gone?" BeastBoy said pointed towards me
"I-I don't know...I'll be back" I said as I ran towards Robins Room

"so your just going to pack up and leave?" I said sad
"i have no choice Jess"
"you always have a choice" I said reminding him
"Bruce..wants me to become the batman while hes gone the villans can't think hes gone because then they will run savage, someone has to protect the city"
"But didn't you say that once you left Batman found a new partner?" I asked
"H-He died, his name was Jason Todd, but somehow hes still alive but hes not the same..." Robin said
"oh, i'm sorry" i said putting my hand on his shoulder
"I'm leaving tonight" he said turning away and packing his stuff, i toke that as my cue to leave him alone, I can't believe hes leaving just like that for who knows how long...

Time flew by, and soon enough it was 9pm and Robin was saying goodbye to the team, reminding them that he'll be back as soon as he can and when Batman comes back, I wasn't in the mood to see the sad faces on the teams faces, so i left a note on Ravens Dresser and told her to tell the team that i was going with him. I was waiting in the garage hidding behind the R-Cycle waiting for him. I heard footsteps and a loud sigh as he neared my hiding place.

"Didn't think you were leaving without me?" I said as i stood up and leaned against the bike
"I should have know there was a reason why you weren't in the living room"
"Heres your reason, now lets go to Gotham" I said smiling
"your crazy" Robin said as he looked down at me, "I love you" he said as his eyes softened
"I love you too" I said not daring to look away, his head dipped down as his lips softly brushed against mine

  Me and Robin were on our way to Gotham, currently we were waiting for our dinner to be brought out, we were sitting at a small resturant just outside of Gotham. The entire ride there has been pretty silent, i can tell Robin is stressed out...very stressed out.

"Hey" I said getting his attention which was on the wall next to him, "are you going to be okay?" I asked conncered looking at him
"Yeah i'm fine, just tired and worried, Gotham is a serious place, it makes Jump City look like a playground" Robin said, well Dick said, right now the mask and uniform was off and we just looked like a normal couple on a date.
"Yeah the city does look big...So what exactly are we going to do?" I asked
"well since Bruce is away on a busniess trip were going to be living in his mansion, 'taking care of the place' and keep Alfred company, but i'm going to have to dress as...Batman"
"I know you don't want to" i said taking his hand in mind across the table
"It doesn't matter if I want to, I have to, Gotham needs the Batman and i'm the closest thing they have" Dick said sourly, "oh and your going to have to be batgirl because 'Cascade' is currently in Jump City right now, so no water powers"
"Are you serious?!?!" I said, water is my one great power, i'm no martial arts master like Dick here...
"you'll be fine, theres a uniform in the Cave and a belt, you'll have tools and your pretty good at Hand to Hand combat"
"Yeah whatever" I said still slightly annoyed as our food came

While we ate we made small talk between bits of food, Dick described some of the villians here and not to sound like a wimp but they sound pretty bad ass, I'm scared to say the least this is a big city with a lot of crime and i don't have a full team just Dick and honestly i don't think i'm too great eaither...
After leaving a nice tip on the table we left and headed for Bruce Waynes mansion

  "Master Dick, marvolus to see you again, and Oh Ms. Cascade glad to see you" Alfred greeted us at the door to Wayne's Masnion

"Thanks Alfred but you can just call me Cascade okay?" I said smiling a little bit as i toke my bag back from Alfred's hands
"shes a keeper Dick" I heard Alfred wispher to Robin/Dick
"Oh I know..." I heard him say back as i smiled to myself, "Jess come on, i'll show you around the Batcave" Robin said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me to the Batcave

Robin made me drop the bags i had and hit this one note on a piano and a secret passage way opened up, well thats cool, he slip down the pipe and signaled me to to do the same, I jumped down and ended up stubbling a bit just to have Robin help me.
"Thanks" I said as i gained my balance back
"no problem, i'm going to go try and find you a Batgirl Costume, were going to head out on parol in a while"
"Oh okay" I said as i looked around, the cave was soo cool, there was big super computer and it was all techey and stuff and filled with gagets and stuff i can play with, oh this is going to be fun
"Okay so i think i found one that should fit, it used to be Barbra's when she was Batgirl and your tiny so you should fit into it" Robin said as he walked out dressed as Batman
"thanks, i'll go try it on" i said as i awkwardly moved out of the view of Robins eyes

I came out dressed in the skin tight suit, it was mostly black and grey, dark leggings that hugged every curve of my body, and a tight long sleaved shirt with the Bat symbol in yellow, it came with my own mask that looked like Robins, well it wasn't a Cowl the one he useually wears, and a cape that came down to mid thigh, oh and black boots, i think its safe to say I look pretty damn good if i do say so myself.
"holy shit" I heard Robin said as i came into view
"I like the costume" I said as i walked towards him putting on the mask
"y-yeah i do too, it fits um..well" Robin said looking up and down my body, "so ready to go on Parol"
"If you can pay attention" I said as I walked towards the car, "Can i drive?" i asked
"Bruce won't let me touch it and i've lived with him all my life, no way in hell would he ever let you drive it" Dick stated
"but your not Bruce" I said
"Don't care, i never drive so its my turn!" he said
