Chapter 6 - Too young to know what real love is

Standing in front of the various lipstick, Crystal thought about the previous owner. Crystal knew she did everything for love. She loved Jason Knight so much that she lost herself. She was too young to understand what real love was. She became obsessed with him and let jealousy control her. She let jealousy cloud her mind. She let it control her actions. She let it make her blind. It all became too much for her at some point that she couldn't be reasoned with. Originally, she was a good girl but what she thought was love changed her. She made some bad decisions and let it define her. She became a bitter woman and it got too dark that she started to question her existence. All she wanted was love, but she failed to look around her...she was surrounded by love. Her family loved her. It all got too much with time and it led her to death...

Crystal picked a red lipstick and studied it. She could recognize herself in her. She too lost herself in love. She also did everything for love. Crystal sighed. They were so alike yet different. If she could talk to her younger self and the previous owner, she wished to tell them that they're more than enough.

After buying some makeup products, Crystal headed to a shop called Victoria Secret. She glanced around the shop. Sexy lingerie and underwear met her sight. She was amused and surprised that women were allowed to wear something so revealing. Anyways, although she wasn't used to it, she liked it. She liked the modern thinking. The thought of women was allowed to dress the way they like without being scorned by their families satisfied her. Crystal bought many underwears and some silk robes in different colors.

Her stomach grumbled and Crystal's cheeks reddened, hoping that nobody heard that. She pulled her phone up from the purse and called her driver, informing him to take her stuff. The driver rushed to Victoria's Secret and took care of her things before she headed to a café in the mall. She ordered something called cola and a chicken sandwich. Drinking of the cola, she let out a satisfied sound. It was too good.

As Crystal enjoyed her food, a handsome man observed her. He had dark, long hair that reached above his shoulders. His eyes were covered with sunglasses. The man wore a big, black coat with a black hat covering his head. He smirked when he saw Crystal making some weird expressions when she ate the sandwich. Then he took off his sunglasses, revealing some beautiful brown eyes. He studied her face and body. She had the most beautiful face shape he had ever seen. Her hair was the color of caramel and her eyes were the color of the ocean. The moment she walked into the café, he could see that she had perfect long legs and figure. She was gorgeous and she didn't seem to notice it. The way she walked reeked out of royalty and the aura she gave off was calming. She didn't even notice all of the heads turning towards her when she walked. She was obvious to the lustful, jealous and admire glances she got.

When the man was done observing the girl, he walked towards her. He stopped in front of her and sat down on the seat opposite hers. Crystal stopped eating and looked at the man. Surprise and suspicious clouded her eyes. "Who are you?" She warily looked at him. The man's mouth twitched. How could she not know who he was?

"I am Gio", he introduced himself. Still, Crystal looked dumbfounded at him. Gio narrowed his eyes. "Gio Negro", Gio said again to see if any bells was ringing. Then he took off the hat which revealed his long hair and looked at her. She widened her eyes and he smirked. Ha! He knew it. Everyone knew who he was.

Crystal was surprised to see the man's long hair. She thought that the men in this area didn't have long hair anymore. "You have long hair", she said happily. Although his hair only reached his shoulders, she felt a connection to her past life. In her past life, most of the men had long hair.

Gio unconsciously glanced at his shoulder-length hair and rubbed his forehead before placing the hat back on his head. He was curious as to why the girl hadn't freaked out. He wasn't arrogant or anything but everyone freaked out when they saw him because he was so famous. Gio was a retired model who ruled the model industry. Now, he owned a modeling agency and he recruitted new, protentional models. All of the models he groomed became the most sought-after models in the world, and he thought of recruiting the girl before him. He knew she would become his new muse who will bring a lot of money to his agency. Not that he didn't have money. He had a lot of money that he didn't know what to do with, but Gio loved money in general. The thought of money made him beam.

Crystal looked at Gio like he was a weirdo because he suddenly smiled like he got the greatest gift in the world. "What's your name, sweetheart?", Gio asked her. He called all of his models' sweetheart. For some weird reasons, Crystal wasn't afraid of him. "My name's Crystal".

Gio smiled happily. He clapped his hands and said, "Great! This is great!" None of Gio's models were named Crystal. Gio didn't let his models have the same name because they were too significant to have the same name. "I have a very good proposal for you", Gio stated and leaned on the chair.

Crystal arched an eyebrow. "What type of proposal?" Gio happily clicked his tongue and placed his hands on his knees. "You see, the moment you walked into this café, you caught my eyes. I own a modeling agency and would like to recruit you as my model", Gio proudly said.

Crystal bit her lips. "Is that some type of job?" Gio widened his eyes. "Yes! In addition, you earn a lot of money too". Crystal paused and opened her purse to get her phone. Then she started to type something on the phone. Gio wasn't offended by her actions. In fact, he curious. "What are you doing?", he asked her and leaned his head a little bit forward. His eyes tried to see what's on the phone screen.

Crystal diverted her attention from her phone to Gio. "Searching what a model does and who you are", she answered. Crystal wasn't the smartest person but she wasn't stupid. She knew that she couldn't blindly trust people anymore.

After a half-hour, Crystal put away her phone. She looked at the eager Gio. She did really consider his proposal. In a few months, Jason and she will be divorced. She would have to find a new place to live and earn her own money. She knew this body didn't lack money but earning the money herself seemed more satisfying.
