though we wish
your physical presence
was among us
we still feel you here.
you can't expect
yourself to
find diamonds
in a coal mine.
but,
we must accept
that you are
still with us.
i am still so saddened
by these events
i wish i could've been there.
my heart wants
to turn back the time
and change things.
i can't stand myself.
i was told
you would come back.
i'm scared
because i need you
now,
not then.
you left an imprint
in my soul
and you will
continue to fill it
for the rest of my life.
