"i'm so glad you're here," joe said after the kisses they shared with each other.
"mhm, same." she hummed, smiling brightly up at him, giving him another kiss on his lips she loved, craved and missed.
"my family love you as much as i do," he laughed.
"well do you blame them?" she jokingly said.
they both laughed and joe shook his head, "i love you, you know?"
she nodded, "i do," she sighed. "i love you, lots."
he smiled, "good."
maisie and joe spent the evening in his room catching up and gossiping like a pair of teenage girls, maisie had missed him, she had explained to him how she had been feeling, he did the same to her missing her just as much as she did he.
everything between them was imperfectly perfect. just the way they liked it.
