Love Fades? Or Was It There? (Alice)

I went to my dorm, and lied down on my bed, not wanting to be disturbed. 

I cried more. 

A little while later, there was a knock on the door.

I didn't answer. They knocked again. 

Finally, I got up, and opened the door.

There stood Dimitri.

"What?" I asked harshly.

"Can I come in? We should talk." 

I stepped aside, and he came in.

There was silence for a moment before Dimitri spoke again. 

"Alice. What happened earlier..."

"What about it?" 

"I do love you. A lot. You should know this. And I do want to be with you. But it will have to be a secret. I will do this for you. You have no idea how much you mean to me."

I was taken aback by his sudden flood of feelings. 

"Dimitri... you don't have to." I whispered.

He shook his head. "I do. I feel as if... I almost... owe it to you. For everything. You loved me before we even met. You get me."

I didn't speak. 

He looked worried, like I didn't love him back. 

Then, I kissed him. It was the most joyous thing in the world.

The kiss was long and sweet. 

We continued to kiss, where Dimitri eventually lied me down on the bed without breaking the kiss.

"Mmm..." I sighed.

"Do you..." He didn't have to say anything. I already knew what he meant.

I nodded. 

Then, he carefully slid my shirt off of me, his fingers brushing me lightly.

We took turns stripping each other, until we were both completely naked. 

I was about to mention a condom, when I remembered that dhampirs cannot reproduce together. 

We brought our hips together, and it was magical. 

Dimitri was infinitely patient with me, as this was my first. 

But he also allowed me to take control at times too.

I cannot explain how... I just don't have words for how amazing sex was with him.
