Apparently,  I still have a pretty interesting relationship with my mom... As according to my most recent dream.

So,  in this dream... I was sitting in my grandma's garage on a lawn chair.  In reality,  her house is for sale,  and she isn't here either- so we're already of to a weird start.

All of a sudden,  I see some wild animals come strolling into the garage.  I decide it's a good idea to feed them popcorn and yogurt. And yes,  in reality,  I know that's not a good idea.

Then,  I get a phone call.  It's my mom.  She wants to know if her yogurts are in the fridge,  she then  proceeds to perfectly describe the yogurts I've just fed to the animals.
I lie,  of course,  not wanting to admit guilt. I say that unless someone else ate them,  they should be in there.

Then I'm thinking to myself,  I need to go but more yogurt before she gets back. But guess what?  My alarm clock went off.  So,  I never did.

I turned off my alarm,  and apologized to my mom for both giving her yogurt away,  and for lying to her about it.  I think she accepted it.

Fast forward to tonight... I have my friend's dog here.  And he is having trouble settling in.  He got on my bed, but sat up looking straight out from the spot he was sitting. Now,  I'm sure somewhere,  at some point,  you've heard that animals are more perceptive to spirits than most (if not all) people are.

And, I don't know about you,  but I feel like I'm fairly in tune as well, but I can't always see everything,  and I'm thinking animals can... Which is cool,  but probably kind of weird for them too.

I mean,  what if whomever is visiting is someone they don't know?  So,  what then?  Is that why they stare for so  long?  Because they are surrounded by foreign visiting souls? Is that as strange for them as just the thought of it is for us?

I mean,  I understand house spirits,  they lived there,  they're attached.  And I understand visiting family members that have passed,  checking in,  seeing you.

But,  just... I don't know,  a whole room of strangers just hanging around?  What for?  And that's not to say this is definitely happening,  but it's possible.  In which case,  I'm wondering what it is they are  interested in,  sticking around a stranger that isn't all that interesting.  Like me.

What is the point of watching me? Do they miss doing what I'm doing?  Working?  Sleeping?  Cooking? Doing laundry? Feeling the sensation of objects in my hands? Walking the dog? Feeding the cat?
I mean,  maybe.  Perhaps it's something they stay for.

Maybe it's something we take for granted.  The ability to feel things,  to do things.  And If so, apparently life doesn't have to be extravagant or interesting to be desired or observed...

It's a thought. Right?
