Once you've arrived at the prom, a couple of pairs of eyes laid on you and Namjoon. You gulped at the sight of every person that were rejecting you at school. Your cousin tightened his grip on your hand. You looked up to him and he gave you a reassuring grin.

Prom was such a stressful event for you. It meant that you were finally graduating. To share with people that seemed to hate you, this event was symbolizing the last step before the adult life — which was putting even more pressure on your shoulders.

But with Namjoonie's company, the evening promises to be better than you imagined.

There was a lot of people dancing on the floor when you entered the big decorated room. There was, on one side, a little stage where the DJ and the speakers were installed on. Then there was the dance floor and some round tables in the back. There was also a lot of multicolor spotlights, lightening every corner of the room. Beside the table, there was a long rectangular table set up with food, punch, plastic plates and utensils.

You pulled on Namjoon's hand through the crowd of dancing students towards the buffet. You cousin served you a cup of punch and you both sat at a free table.

You watched the others dancing like crazy while you were sipping the juice until the last drop.

"DO YOU WANT TO DANCE" Namjoon shouted over the loud music.

You honestly didn't wanted to joined in with those people, but you accepted anyway. You didn't wanted Namjoon to be bored.

He took your hand and you both found a little spot in the massive moving crowd. While you two were dancing amazingly — note the sarcasm — you noticed that more and more students were staring. Was it your moves or Namjoon's mask that were intriguing them that much?

"People are looking" you murmured in your cousin's ear. He shrugged his shoulders.

"They're jealous! Let them be" he said. It was actually a good advice. Stop worrying so much about the others and make yourself happy.

It was amusing to dance ridiculously with your cousin. It was relieving all the anxiety that you kept in the whole three months you were at this school and way more back in time.

"AAAAAND NOW FOR THE COUPLES IN THE ROOM!" The DJ played a slow song and every couple, or friends, gathered closer and moved to the melody.

You looked awkwardly at Namjoon. He smiled.

Your cousin took your hand and placed it on his shoulder. He took your other hand and intertwined his fingers with yours. Then his other hand delicately leaned on your waist. "Remember was Hobi taught us" he asked you.

"Of course! Remember that my foot is not the floor" you questioned back with a smirk.

"Of course!" he replied and laughed.

The night was going well so far, you were having fun dancing with your cousin for about an hour now.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE YOUR ATTENTION" Mr. Chang, the director, said through the mic on the stage, when the DJ stopped the music. "It is now time for the Queen and the King to be revealed" he added.

Mr. Chang opened a white envelope and read the note inside. He shifted his eyes left to right in the crowd of young people, creating suspense.

"And tonight's Queen is...(Y/N) (Y/L/N)! Come on stage please!"

Wait...what?

Your eyes rounded as you heard your name being called. Everyone was applauding around you. You looked up to Namjoon in confusion, looking for answers. He just smiled and gave you a little push.

You walked up the stage, making sure not to stumble with those heels. Mr. Chang presented you a beautiful tiara that he gladly placed on your head as the students were clapping their hands. Namjoon was the loudest to cheer for you.

You put all your questions beside and smiled to everyone, thanking them for this.

"Now! I'm going to announce the name of our King..." The director frowned his eyebrows then raised one. "The mysterious masked man?" Mr. Chang finally read.

You instantly looked at Namjoon who was shocked. He was hesitating to join you on stage, but since everyone was turning their heads towards him, it was confirming that it was really him "the mysterious masked man".

Once you two were side by side with your crowns. The journalism club took a picture of you. You were blind from the white flash that the camera caused. But what you didn't know was that this was part of a plan.

Out of nowhere, a bucket of cold water felt on top of you and Namjoon. Everyone bursted out laughing as you were drenched head to toes. Ice bucket challenge, keep that for YouTube- oh wait! Once you opened your eyes, you realized that a bunch of phones were reached out, filming the entire prank.

You turned towards Namjoon. Your hair were ruined, your dress was ruined, your make up was ruined...everything was just...ruined.

As you thought finally something good was happening to you from this school...it was just an illusion.

With the laughs of the other students hitting you harder than a slap, you tried to run away. Unfortunately, walking on a slippery floor with heels wasn't something that you practiced before. You felt directly on your butt.

Namjoon hurried to help you up.

Then...

That jerk of Yongwoo came on stage, clapping his hands and laughing at you two. "Oh no! (Y/N), what happened? Ha!" He couldn't held his laugh. His sarcasm was irritating you to the most. "And who's this?"

Yongwoo quickly removed your cousin's mask, revealing his true identity to the rest of the students. Everybody in the room gasped. A few girls screamed at the top of their lungs "NAMJOON OPPA!!" You even think you saw one faint in the back.

With still a lot of camera pointed on you, you didn't know what to do. As you touched Namjoon's hand, you noticed that he was tightening his fist.

You forced him to loosen up and intertwined your fingers. You didn't wanted him to commit a big mistake in front of the cameras.

On the other hand, you, to the media, was nobody.

VLAMM!!

You slapped the shit out of Yongwoo's cheek. You hit him so hard that a red handprint stamped on his face.

With that slap, it pushed the boy backwards, causing him to stumble and fell off the stage.

For once, the students weren't laughing at you, but at that bully.

Namjoon pulled on your hand, making you turn to face him. His dimples were showing as he was smiling. Contagious as it was, you returned the smile. He delicately wiped out the mascara that had rolled under your eyes.

"DJ! HIT IT!" Namjoon shouted and the DJ started to play some music. You danced on the stage as the Queen and King of the prom.

"NAMJOON OPPA, PLEASE CAN I DANCE WITH YOU!" "MONIE! CAN I HAVE A PICTURE WITH YOU!" "NAMJOON "NAMJOON" NAMJOON"

"Sorry. I'm enjoying this moment with my cousin, (Y/N)" Namjoon apologized to the bunch of girls around. What surprised you was that they understood and left you alone.

After a few hours, you and Namjoon decided that it was time to head back to the dorm. The party was nice, but there was already a bunch of students that were already leaving.

While you were in the car, you found yourself falling asleep but fighting it to the very moment when you were completely knocked out.
