Stay calm.

That's the only thing that was registering through Athena's head as she felt the pounding sensation of a headache forming. She groaned and her eyes opened, showing off the dark brown color that resembled dirt to some. Her mouth let out an audible groan when she felt her arms ache and her toes scrapped against the cool floor. She could hear mumbling from other people, but she was too tired to open her eyes. When she heard a door swing open, she pried open her eyes to see red haired flash above her. "Well, well, well, Athena you're finally awake!" He yelled and the girl looked into the man's eyes only causing a whimper to escape when he pressed a cool knife against her side.

"Leave her alone." A voice growled and she looked up to see Damon bloody and in pain as she gasped.

"Damon." She whispered and Ronald laughed.

"The vampire to the rescue as always. What are you going to do in your unbreakable chains?" He teased and Damon's eyes darkened in defeat as his head hung low.

"Exactly, Nothing." He muttered and then raised the knife and plunged it into her side, causing the girl to wake up and scream in pain.

Her nerves were screaming for the knife to be taken out of her body, but the man left it there, and she cried as tears fell from her bruised face.

He chuckled and that's when a woman's voice picked up. "Ronald, leave my daughter alone." She stated smoothly. The woman was hidden in darkness, but Athena knew too well that it was her mother.

She cried and shook her head. "Mom." She whined and then the woman was shown in the light as Ron had picked her up and pushed her to the middle of the room.

She was beaten with bruises that littered her body, cuts and scrapes were on every inch of her tan skin and she smiled. "Athena, I'm okay." She breathed out and the girl cried harder making the knife split more of her smooth flesh.

"Oh, don't lie to the poor girl." Ron said and lifted the woman up by her hair causing her to scream out in pain. "Tell her the truth, Hermione." He stated and she hissed while trying to break free from his hold.

"I still have no clue what you're talking about." She seethed and the man laughed.

"Really? You're still clueless. Let me just tell her then." He teased an dropped the woman while heading over to the girl.

"Athena, who do you think your father is?" He asked and the girl looked into her mothers eyes.

"Draco." She sobbed and Hermione looked to the ground in defeat. Ron tutted and looked over the woman.

"Hermione, tell her." He commanded and the girl didn't move while Hermione sniffled and shook her head.

"It's true." She lied between her teeth and Athena could see that the woman was lying.

"Mom?" She mumbled and Ron smirked.

"Hermione, you better tell the girl." He stated and pulled the knife out of her abdomen causing her to sob and he placed the knife near her heart. "Otherwise I kill her." He told her and Hermione looked between her past lover and her daughter.

"Athena, I'm so sorry." She cried and Athena shook her head.

"What?" She asked confused and the man smirked.

"Hello, daughter dearest." He smirked and the girl felt her heart drop in her chest.
