Klaus sat down by the girl as she was looking over one of the old grimoires he had given her. The book was ancient, the leather could peel right off and it was decorated with stones, and for some odd reason, the girl could read the old language. Her mind easily could tell what the symbols meant and they would translate into words of English. She turned the page, reading over a spell that would turn water into rum and she went back to the very top as Klaus sighed and laid his head on her shoulder while she stopped in annoyance.
"If you keep doing this, I won't be able to find it any faster." She told him as he smirked and played with a strand of her hair.
"I feel like you could go even faster if I kept annoying you, because once you are done you wouldn't have to be here with me." He told her smugly and she just growled while rolling her eyes reading over a curse to imprison the monster side of a person.
She furrowed her eyebrows and saw blood of a doppelgänger and she looked over Klaus. "Is this the spell that the witch used on you?" She asked and Klaus looked over the writing and rolled his eyes.
"Of course, this is her grimoire after all." He told her and she just kept reading through, not thinking once about it.
She tilted her head. "So, was she a family member or something?" She asked him and it was his turn to roll his eyes.
"Athena, drop it." He told her and she sighed while shaking her head. She closed the book and glared at him slightly.
"It isn't fair." She told him seeing the confused look in his eyes. "You get to know everything about me, my mother, my friends, what I am." She told him in slight anger. "Why can't I know anything about you?" She asked with venom dripping with every word.
He sighed and rubbed his face. "Because it a very very long story." He complained and the girl took the book off her lap and she looked over him.
"We have forever now, you can't die literally and I'm sure that I can't die anymore either. What would kill a witch, werewolf, vampire?" She asked and Klaus smiled slightly.
"Ripping your heart out." He told her and she shook her head.
"You wouldn't do that to me." She told him and he sighed while she placed her head on the edge of the couch, getting comfortable.
"I have a family of four siblings and a mother that loved me and a father who despised me." He told her and she furrowed her eyebrows.
"I could understand that, Elijah told me some of your story. Your mother had an affair with a werewolf, that's how you are a hybrid. And then your father figured out. If my significant other had a child with another person I would be pissed too." She told him and Klaus shook his head.
"He hates me even before he was told." Klaus explained and he went on telling his entire story, while Athena listened and hung on every word, finally Beijing through to the big bad wolf, and fond just a broken child on the inside.
