(A week and a half later)
I climb up the ladder of the tree hut. Jack was sitting in the exact same place as usual. It was saturday and my mom thinks that I am just going to say bye to 'Kelly'. I have about ten minutes considering the amount of time it took, and will take, to get back to my house. I sit down next to him.
When I had told Jack that I was moving, he got really mad and wouldn't talk to me for a day, he calmed down a bit when I explained to him that it wasn't my fault and that my parents were forcing me and my sister to move.
We sit in silence for a few minutes until he gets up and walks over to the other side of the tree hut and opens the old, taty suitcase which had a few games that I had brun here in it. He takes out the snakes and ladders board.
The ten minutes passes quickly and before I know it I have to leave. I get up off the wooden floor that I was sitting on as Jack does the same. I climb down the ladder and wave goodbye to Jack. "Bye" I say. He just stares at me for a few seconds before whispering "bye" He turns and sits back down in his spot on the floor.
I sigh and walk away from the tree house and away from Jack.
