"I don't want you to get hurt" He states, glancing over his shoulder. "Yep, same here. Whats your point?" I smile a little and then it disappears when I remember whats happening.  He sighs and gives in. "OK so ideally a distraction would help to stop them from killing people. And we need to know how many shooters there are. Are you able to sneak around the side wall and try to see how many there are?" He asks with an extremely nervous grimace on his face. "I'll be back in a minute." And with that, I make my way through the crowd of people and press myself up against the wall.

I slide across the wall until I had a relatively clear view of the open doorway where the bullets were coming from. I knew it was stupid doing this but I had already told Bruce that I would find out how many shooters there were and I was already standing here with an open view so I might as well not go back now.

Through the huge doorway that lead into the lobby, I could clearly see two people wearing black masks pushed up against the wall and another two next to one of the massive staircases. All of them carried guns. I turn and make my way back towards where I had left Bruce only for him to not be there.

"Bruce?" I shout over the chaos in the room. I glance around to find him crouched next to a woman. Blood seeped through her dress on her torso. She had also been shot. I rush up to them. "There are four" I state to Bruce as he assists the woman to stand up. "Where are they positioned?" He asks, glancing at me. "Two behind the wall, the other two next to the stairs" I try to see over the chaotic crowd of people.

"Can you please take her to Alfred?" He asks, holding out the woman's arm for me to take. I do and make my way over to where we had last seen Alfred and my parents next to the stage.

I left the woman in Alfred's care and return back to where Bruce was before I left. "What now?" I ask when I reach him. He opens his mouth to reply but gets cut off by another gun shot. "Quiet!" A man screams. Everyone goes silent. I turn around to see the four men standing in the doorway, guns raised. "Where is Bruce Wayne?" One of the guys shouts into the silent room.  Bruce raises his hand from the crowded corner that everyone pilled themselves into, as far away form the men as possible.

Bruce slowly takes a few steps forward. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Alfred inching his way towards us in the crowd. I glance back at the men only to make eye contact with one. He had dark eyes, almost black. And then suddenly it hit me.

He was the man from the alley.
