Author's POV

Y/n was walking down the streets of LA, enjoying the slight business of her surroundings. Her hair was being blown by the wind and her eyes glistened at the sight of kids playing in the playground nearby.

She started reminiscing the days she spent with Jimin back in Korea. Though he wouldn't admit it, the guy was actually pretty fond of kids and Y/n could see that he would be a perfect father when the time comes.

But sadly, she's not gonna be the girl who he's gonna spend his life with. Well, at least that's what she thought. She continued to walk a few more blocks until she came about a cafe Hoshi recently talked to her about. She went in and sat on one of the tables near the window.

*typing*

Oppa, I'm here where are you?

She put down her phone and decided to enjoy the scenery. All she needed was a break from everything. Knowing that Park Jimin is in the same area as her made her feel all sorts of emotions she couldn't quite understand. But, one was evident that she could never miss. Sadness.

The purpose of this trip was to be far from him, not get near him. But fate just had to be so cruel towards her. It almost felt like fate didn't want Y/n to escape. Fate wanted her to face it on. Like she had no other choice, whatsoever.

"Why the nutballs is he taking so long?"

And almost as if on cue, the door makes a tinkling sound, indicating that someone had just went in. Y/n looked towards the door and time stopped in an instant. There stood the one and only person who made her heart flutter and break with such effortlessness and sophistication which honestly, just makes her want to bury herself alive for being too easy.

She hated how she would go weak in the knees for Jimin, though, she secretly loves it as well. She just doesn't want to admit it herself.

She continued to stare him down, with eyes as wide as saucers as the said man made long strides towards her as if it was in slow motion. Jimin combed his hair back, making his forehead visible in all its glory. The man was gradually getting closer and closer towards her and she couldn't help but feel anxious in his presence. Jimin was locking eyes with her the whole time and the way he looked at her made her eant to melt into a puddle.

Y/n could already smell the muskiness of his cologne and she couldn't help but swoon. She had missed that smell. The smell that made her feel safe. But, at the same time, she resented it. Not because it made her feel nostalgic, but at this point in her life, the cologne she grew to love so much just made her feel unwanted and unnecessary. It was like the scent itself was slapping reality into her face that she isn't his anymore and he isn't hers.

'Stop it Y/n. You're gawking too much'

"Hey Y/n" Jimin smiled at you for the first time in a while and you couldn't help but be taken aback by the sudden gesture.

"H-hey, what are you doing here Jimin-ssi?"

"Just wanted to get coffee and happened to see you by the window, so why not come and say hi right?"

"Me?"

"Yes, you. Who else would it be Y/n?"

The taller man giggles at the look of your astonished face as if he's seen the world's biggest owl. You, in turn, blush and look down. You were embarrassed and you don't plan on getting even more humiliated than you already are.

"May I sit?"

"S-sure"

—Meanwhile—

"Hyung, I want to go back, already. I'm not an errand boy!"

Taehyung was walking around doing errands for Yoongi when he spotted an all too familiar female sitting across a man in a cafe. He dropped everything he was doing and hid behind a tree.

"What the actual fuck?"

————

The silence was unbearable. Y/n kept on fiddling with the edge of her dress as Jimin kept on sipping on his coffee. Unbeknownst to the female, Jimin was looking pretty intently towards his ex. He was hoping she would notice and look up so they could talk but looks like it wouldn't happen.

He put his coffee down and decided to make some small talk.

"Who are you waiting for?"

"A f-friend"

"May I know who this is?"

Y/n suddenly felt triggered. She was having second thoughts with her feelings and seeing her ex in front of her, just made it worse for her to understand herself. She just wanted to crawl into hole and never come out.

She was beginning to feel her frustration reaching its peak. She kept wondering why the fuck was her ex acting so casual as if nothing had happened. She wanted to slpa him across the table, but she restrained herself and looked up to look at the man dead in the eye.

"What's it to you?"

She responded too coldly for her liking but she couldn't take it back anymore.

Jimin was shocked with her behavior and began to smirk. He was amused to see her this way and it made Y/n even more annoyed. Oh how whe wanted to blend his head along with the coffee beans in the cafe.

Y/n scoffed and stood up. She dashed out of the cafe and started dialing her best friend's number. It rang a couple of times then it was deopped to voicemail.

"Idiot, pick up."

"He won't"

Y/n looked beside her to see Jimin walking with her with his hands in his pocket. Y/n looked at how his fine muscles flexed every time he made a move. She noticed how his jawline resembled that of a blade that could cut a person's finger if they touch it so recklessly.

"It's rude to stare you know"

Y/n quickly looked away and began to walk faster. Jimin snorted in amusement and quickly caught up with her. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards him, taking the younger girl aback.

"Let's hang out"

The boy smiled down at her and before she could even disapprove, the guy was already dragging her towards the mall.

'Oh heck, why the fuck is he doing this?!'

Little did they know, Taehyung was watching them.

He followed them throughout the day and was watching every move they made. From the sudden pulls to the playful slaps and glares they did once in a while, he couldn't help but stay alert.

"Let's go there!"

Then man started pulling on her again but this time, she resisted. She pulled her wrist back and glared at the guy, feeling herself in the brink of tearing up.

"You have a fiance right?! Why the hell are you doing this to me?!"

Jimin froze and tried to reach for Y/n but she dodged it and continued to shout angrily.

"You don't fucking love me anymore right?! So why the sudden attitude change huh?! Is it fun playing with my feelings?! Do you even—"

She couldn't even finish her sentence when tears started to flow their way down her cheeks. She continued to sob as she buried her face in her hands. She crouched down to the floor and sobbed. She didn't know what else to do. She wanted to let her feelings out, but, she couldn't do it.

"Y/n..."

Jimin crouched to her level and pulled her to his embrace. Oh how they both missed each other's warmth. The only thing was that they didn't know that they both do. Jimin continued to hug her and rub her back in circles until she calmed down.

"J-jimin, please stop. I can't do this anymore. My heart is in too much pain already. So please.."

Jimin looked at the girl lovingly and continue to hug her, not wanting to see his only love crying.

"No. I still love you."
