Innocence

They arrived at the burger joint not that far from where from the dance studio where she attends class the whole car ride her heart was beating fast though she tried to hide it, she kept glimpsing out the window taking notice in the cars beside them and in back of them.

He noticing her behavior she is acting like he does every time they finish doing a job, and the wanting to know what could have her so damn paranoid was making him anxious.

"You want to sit while order?" he brushed his fingers along her arm, she looked around and shook her head "um no I'll come with you" she smiled not wanting to be alone even if the restaurant is full of people "okay" he wrapped his arm around her as they waited in line.

Trying to make conversation with her was useless, it was like talking to the wall "are you sure your okay?" he repeated.

She took a sip of her cold drink and nodded "I'm fine".

"You're not fine" he added "I'm just not having a good day, I'm sorry if that bothers you" she frowned, looking down at her food feeling horrible for lying to his face when all he doing is being concern for her.

"I'm sorry. ." he said softly even thought he knows he shouldn't be he can see right through her, her eyes don't have that playful little twinkle they always do and she keeps fidgeting with her fingers.

"It's okay let's just eat" she gave him a weary smile "I'm happy you came to get me" she tried to ease the unwanted attention her body language was giving.

"Me too" he simply replied taking a bite out of his burger, noticing his mood change and knows it is all her fault.

Why the hell did they have to send her a damn note and keep watching her, it's been days since the incident they should know by now that she isn't going to say a word to the police that she is keeping her promise.

"Selena!" she jumped at her name being called, she had been lost in thought for moment.

"You know what?" Nick wiped his hand with his napkin and came to sit next to her "I know something is wrong, why can't you just tell me?" she looked down avoiding his gaze.

"I'm your boyfriend, you should be able to open up to me and tell me what's wrong!" he spoke with frustration from the lack of commutation she is having with him.

Her eyes met his quickly "boyfriend?" she said softly, his face flushed red as he realized he said that "I- I..." he honestly didn't know what they were but he liked to think she was his like he was hers, "Nick?" she whispered as he noticed the way he fidgeted with the spoon in front of him.

"I'm sorry, I-I" he sighed as the nervousness running through his body started showing all over his face and voice; "Sel..." he took a deep a breath as his gaze met with hers, "what are we" the sudden question threw her off guard.

"I don't..." her eyes quickly broke the trance he had her under, "I mean you never asked" she laughed as her warm gaze locked with his once again; she watched as he nervously bit down on his lower lip, he wanted to ask her, he felt the need to express all the emotions he has been feeling since the moment he laid eyes on her but the thought of the guys finding out was quickly reminding him that nothing was suppose to happen between them.

"Well..." she spoke softly as she rubbed the tip of her fingers along the palm of his hand.

Nick smiled widely while cupping both her cheeks with his hands, "Selena would you be my girlfriend" he looked into her eyes hoping to see no hesitation in them; "I need you to be mine" his lips slowly met with the tender skin of her parted lips.

"Nick, I've always been yours since the moment you gave me that beautiful pink tulip" her innocent laugh echoed through the friendly like environment of the restaurant as she remembered the cheesy moment they shared a couple of days ago.

"So, is that a yes" he asked dumbfounded by the way her eyes would shine every time she laughed.

Selena nodded as she pecked the side of his mouth merely touching the skin of his lips, "that's a heck yes" her voice softly echoed through his ear as a sudden chill went down his spine.

At this point Nick didn't care about the plan he originally had set, he knew faith had put this wonderful girl in his path for a reason and to let go of this beautiful opportunity he was getting with her would be a decision he would deeply regret. "I-I lov..like you so much" he mentally kicked himself for not having the guts to confess what he was really feeling.

"I like you too" her lips met with his heart shaped ones as they indulged in this striking moment.
